Expensive, but organic
I wanted cardamon and I picked this one because it is organic. It is safe from dangerous pesticides. I cook every meal and use a lot of spices so I can say this product for the price is on the expensive side. There are 25 or 30 cardamon inside which contain 3 or 4 seeds each. If you make a dish once in a blue moon then it is perfect for you. If not, maybe you should consider another packaging. I like the fact that it comes in a glass jar, but unfortunately the lid is plastic and NOT recyclable...for the rest it has its flagrance and taste intact.

Very Fresh Cardamom Pods!
These are hard to find at my grocery and when I do find them they cost a lot! Thank you Amazon! These are fresh and fragrant! Love to put in my tea!

Cardamom
Bought this to use when making chai tea. This has great flavor and I have also used it ground up in smoothies.

How to spice up a cake? This is it!
I had a new recipe for a cardamom cake and wanted to purchase some pods. I did find one small bottle at my local grocer, but this had more pods, I will say that I felt they were a bit small but that can be normal. I cut into the pods with scissors and scraped out the black seeds with a toothpick. They tasted fresh and turn a normal butter, egg, flour, sugar cake into something impressive! I do feel these are a bit pricey but that is typical for cardamom. I do recommend buying these as they can be delivered quickly. Most of your typical grocery stores do NOT have cardamom PODS and buying this bottle will allow you to bake your item quickly

So much better than ground.
Whole is better than ground... it's like a different spice. I've had a love hate relationship with cardamom since a trip to India years ago. It's a smell that is almost ever present in the air in most places. Its delicious when someone who knows how to use it adds it to stuff, and awful when overused or used badly. I've been struggling to use a jar of ground cardamom since I returned. Glad i got snobby and started trying recipes as they are written to be cooked by indian methods.... what a different flavor whole cardamom pods have in a food. It's all of the good flavors, none of the bad. Deserts or dinners, I'm using this from now on. Wow, using the whole

Cardamom is the best
I haven't been able to find cardamom in the store for nearly a year (GASP!) - so I finally ordered some online. Very hard to find right now and was grateful for this posting! The flavour was excellent, but the pods do look pretty old- they're not the fresh green, but rather a worn out pale color closer to white-yellow. As the flavour and intensity seem fine and the seeds themselves are beautifully dark, I think it's fine. However, the pale pod colour may mean these are a little less fresh than other options? Either way - delicious!
