Impact Umbrella Bracket

I have two of these and compared to some of the "cheapies" out there, all I can say is spend a few extra bucks and get this one! My light stands have taken a dive more than once due to high winds, I put my gear through a lot and well, hands down this thing is sturdy, awesome, and functional. Once its tight, its tight until you tell it not to be. I don't get any creeping even with heavy light modifiers attached to it, etc.

This bracket was better than I expected. I'm always suspicious of things made in China. They are often either poorly built of die prematurely. Even though this umbrella bracket is largely plastic, there is metal in the areas where where it's most needed. I wouldn't call it robust, but it is certainly strong enough for medium duty. If you want heavy duty you will probably have to pay much more. I'm using it to mount a flash and an umbrella that isn't very heavy. For this it's fine. The bracket is easily adjustable and it gives you options to mount things in different ways. This bracket is defiantly worth the money.

My Nikon SB's are held in by a small metal screw on the side. It is hard to tighten and easily becomes loose.I do like the bracket though, so maybe an adjustable hot shoe mount would be better for me with a similar bracket.

Works fine, just feels as though I should be careful with tighting it, feels like too much pressure could break it.I will give it a try and see just how it holds up
