Tourlite Softside 29" Expandable Luggage with 4 Spinner Wheels, Lightweight Suitcase, Checked Large, Blue

I am a kitchen sink packer and was looking for a luggage set that was excellent quality, roomy, and actually lightweight. This set exceeded my expectations and it's worth the additional cost. My previous luggage set was extremely heavy and would always be over the 50 lb weight limit for checked baggage so I always had to bring my carry-on to cover the excess weight. However, when I packed the same items with this set, my luggage barely made 40 lbs and I no longer needed my carry-on. The zippers are sturdy/durable and the spinner wheels makes pulling a breeze. The deep purple is a beautiful color and cleans easily with simple hand soap and water. I just bought this set in early Feb and just used it in late Feb so I hope it lasts just as long as my previous luggage set (which was over 10 years). If not, l like that Travel Pro has a warranty so that's what pushed me to purchase. But so far, so good and I will update this review if it anything changes.

Good quality, light weight but durable, good color, very nice expandable luggage with 4 spinner wheels. Made it very easy for traveling for these two seniors.

Needed a little larger size than carry-on. This sturdy expandable luggage with dual 4 wheels is perfect. Excellent for checking baggage with plenty of space.

The good: Travelpro quality, rigid handle when extended, really good wheels, no worry about being over size. The bad: This one does not have expansion, if you are an over packer and refuse to change this won't work for you. The mesh compartment on the inside has fabric on it which will make it hard to see everything you put in that pocket. Although it has a triangular shape, because it is narrow it seems more prone to want to tip over, or maybe I packed wrong and put the heavy stuff on top making it top heavy. I am not an over packer so I grab this bag with I'm only packing for myself. I prefer the smaller size to a standard 21" suitcase which is actually going to be 22" or more on the outside dimensions. The handle is great and you're not going feel that rickety stuff cheaper luggage handles do. Survived the streets of Athens for 2 days, so that's saying something.

About 20 years ago, I joined a consulting firm that required a lot of travel and my research found that “TravelPro” was the best line of luggage one could buy. I bought a carry on and a 25” suitcase from TravelPro. To this day, I have never had an issue with those pieces of luggage. The fabric is durable, zippers work great, wheels roll smoothly, and the extension handle works perfeclty. As I get older, I noticed that is is very uncomfortable and almost painful to pull luggage without spinner wheels. While my two TravelPro suitcases still work great, I decided to get one with spinner wheels. I see people in the airport walking with ease with their suitcase rolling along side them and I feel a pang of jealousy. This suitcase is great. The spinner wheels work great. The suitcase is also super light. I was considering the 25” Platinum Elite Softside with Spinner Wheels but that weighs 9.7 lbs whereas this one weighs 7.3 pounds (based on Amazon Product Information). I bought this one and when I took it out of the box, I felt that either my pilates sessions are paying off and I’m super strong or this suitcase is super light. I have packed this one up to 65.5 lbs. and while it is heavy to get off the baggage claim merry-go-round, once you have this standing up on its wheels, you can move around super easily. I thought that this would have less packing space than my existing 25” TravelPro. It looks smaller. But I was able to pack sneakers, shower slippers, clothes, a weighted blanket, two bottles of wine, and 4 bottles of craft beer in this suitcase without issue. I have always used soft side suitcases and I love the 2” expansion space on TravelPro’s 25” suitcases. I highly recommend this suitcase. The cost is reasonable, the brand is durable and reliable, the spinner wheels allow me to move around without shoulder pain/strain, and this suitcase is super light.

ZERO STARS... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIME! AVOID TravelPro. Pay more $ for any other brand and save yourself the headache of dealing with them. I have been a LOYAL purchaser of TravelPro for over 25 years. They have lost my business and will NEVER be able to regain my trust. My first purchase was a roller board which I used for over 20 years with no issues or complaints. The wheels were easy to replace and it was an awesome bag. I have recommended them to many family and friends but am now embarrassed by the recommendation. My recent 25" spinner bag lasted 2 trips before the airline damaged the handle. It should be an easy repair / fix, but I can't get a simple repair part. The bag is now sitting in a 3rd world country making its way to a landfill. I can't believe that they even publish a customer support number, because they disconnect you without an option to speak with someone. The Online Chat feature is useless as it is an AI bot, that simply directs you to the customer service portal to enter your info, to only go into a BLACK HOLE! They say they will respond within 3 biz days, but it has been 3 months and I entered 3 separate entries with ZERO response. They do have authorized repair centers, but they ONLY take walk in's. You cannot ship to them for repair.... the closest repair center to me is 4 hours drive. On the website, it directs you to Amazon to purchase replacement parts... What??? You go to amazon and there are NO replacement parts there. I am done with TravelPro. This has to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Do some research and you will find better options that will be there for you when you need them.
