Best Tent Camping: New England: Your Car-Camping Guide to Scenic Beauty, the Sounds of Nature, and an Escape from Civilization

Best guide for finding your perfect tent site!
The reasons I consider this guide the best (after browsing 3-4 others):1. It contains star ratings for each campground for its beauty, privacy, spaciousness, cleanliness, quiet and safety, which can help you decide fast if a campground is for you before reading the detailed description - time saving and useful if one isn't yet familiar with the area2. It includes a detailed description of the campgrounds themselves in terms of geographical location, surrounding nature, distance from roads, rivers, hiking trails etc. and of groups of sites (where applicable) and individual sites at each campground in terms of seclusion, nature around the campsite, sunlight, distance from toilets/ water sources, accessibility etc. - extremely useful if one doesn't know the area and has specific preferences/needs for a tent site.3. For each campground, it provides a map and key information like address, who operates the campground, if the campsites have picnic tables and/or fire rings, the website and or phone numbers where to make reservations, campground facilities, fees, etc. - it makes reserving the site easy and fast4. It discusses 60 campground - plenty to choose from.In summary, the book helped us with booking the perfect tent site for all our hiking adventures (we are beginners to intermediate, 3-seasons campers); we recommend it!Also, the short literary quotes at the beginning of each campground's description provided a nice touch for us.The ebook works perfectly, no glitches at all; all the maps/images could be enlarged.

Almost...
I've been to many of the listed campgrounds and overall the descriptions are very accurate. Although I would recommend this book, there are too many popular, huge and crowded campgrounds included. I was hoping for a listing of more less-known sites. Some are included but not many.

Worth every penny!
This book helped me so much to find a few great camping spots for this summer. And with the great detail into which sites are the best ones, you better believe I reserved those :) I wish there was more information on a website that had as much detail as this book. Definitely recommend.

Informative
There's a lot of really great detailed information in this book. I like how they have the best sites at the campgrounds as well as ratings for multiple categories. If you're looking for scenic beauty and peaceful sites to camp, this book is for you.

Great book!
Really great book! Well written, good diagrams, good info and to the point. Definitely the best source for this subject area out right now--which is strange, right? Thought there would be dozens of books about on topic. Most are old and outdated and too broad. The book gave good enough info for me to want to camp twice this year already. Definitely a keeper. Thumbs up.

Love it!
We've found all of our favorite campsites in this book. It includes excellent descriptions of the campgrounds themselves and of several individual sites at each campground. There are also star ratings for each campground for its beauty, privacy, spaciousness, cleanliness, quiet and security for quick reference. We just upgraded to this 2012 edition and it includes additional entries and changes. It's a great reference, we love it.

I want to love it but
I want to love it but... The first thing I did was read about our go-to for-a-quick-getaway campground (George Washington in RI)... and it says dogs aren't allowed. Totally wrong! Dogs (and cats) are welcome or we wouldn't go there! Now I don't trust the information -- what else is inaccurate?
