CPCE Flashcard Study System: CPCE Test Practice Questions & Exam Review for the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (Cards)

When I think of flashcards I think of brief to the point bites of information. These are not that. They are more like taking paragraphs out of books and putting them on index cards. They have value, but it's a lot of information to try to consume in this manner. Also, as has been said many times, they do not arrive as cards. You'll get a book and you'll need to pull out the pages and separate the cards yourself. Also, super expensive. If I had it to do over again, I don't think I would purchase this item.

I have the CPCE Practice Questions and flashcards. I love that the book has explanations for the answers and the flash card are a perfect size to carry with you.

This was a good product but I didn’t use it because it felt so overwhelming to me. So much information. It was easier for me to read a prep textbook and do practice exams than try to study with these flash cards. Perhaps flash cards aren’t my best way to learn! Not a bad product, but not helpful for me.

I was happy when I saw that there are Flashcards already put together. Some people may learn as they write information down, yet no me. The thought of having to create these flashcards myself (and not miss information) was overwhelming and the time it takes to write them would be too long. I received the flashcards today and it was an easy process, and I am beyond satisfied

I purchased the Flashcard system for the CPCE and feel like the break down with the flashcards is less intimidating than the huge book. I like how the sections are separated and I think the suggested method of study is a great way to train our long and short term memory. I am confidence this will be a better fit for my study needs given my busy life and schedule because I am able to pack a section of choice with me while on the go and study throughout various free moments of my day.

I like that the flash cards are categorized with a subject heading (this is great), they are printed on good quality paper, and I like that they are perforated. I am really rough on material so I opted to laminate mine so they will last longer. Many of the flash cards ask more than one question so the explanation on the back can be intimidating.

These are way too expensive for what you get. I did not care for how the content was organized. The cards are jam packed full of randomly organized factoids. There was no effort to make connections between concepts to aid memorization. There were many typos. The info was divided into the 8 sections of the exam but some sections has over 100 cards while others had 20. These cards were useless. I ended up reading a book to help prepare for the exam, which I passed. Don't stress over this. It was a fairly easy test. Read the Rosenthal book and practice on quizlet with existing flash card sets- there are a ton of them.
