6.5 Inch Dual Marine Speakers - 2 Way Waterproof and Weather Resistant Outdoor Audio Stereo Sound System with 120 Watt Power, Polypropylene Cone and Cloth Surround - 1 Pair - PLMR67B (Black)

Needed a small pair of marine speakers for a jon boat I converted into a bass boat. Have these mounted in the front panel of a bench seat made of 1/2" plywood. They were very easy to mount, the included speaker wiring was easy to attach. Have them hooked up to the rear channel of a Dual 60 watt receiver and was very surprised at the quality of sound coming from them. Definitely more bass than expected and the vocals were clear. We're not going to be blasting it out on the water but it has some volume to it if we wanted to. Would I install these in a car, more than likely no, but for what we'll be using them for they sound great. Not very experienced with speaker installs, so I thought the mounting depth was the length of the speaker behind what it was being mounted to. I thought it was going to be 1.5" back from the front base of the speaker, but it was more like 2.5 or 3 (from the very front where the screws pop out of the back, not from the plywood because obviously any different size plywood would either add or subtract from the length from the back side of the plywood.) They still fit being a smaller speaker but if I ever replace them I'll have to investigate further. I used the cardboard holders the speakers came in as a template for the cutout.

Only used to replace old speaker to fill in the hole.

These speakers do not sound like other Pyle speakers as these sound muffled, low toned and lacks power. Furthermore the grills are not aligned therefore they look awkward when placed side by side.

Sound good in the car, went for Marine because the windows leak down over the speakers. been in over a year.

I put these in some 6" PVC tube to mount on my jeep's roll bars, they are loud and clear enough to run the top down on the highway and still enjoy your music (I run somewhat loud A/T tires also). The biggest reason I purchased them was due to them being waterproof and I've run these same speakers on ATVs crossing creeks, covering them in mud, and hosing them off at the day's end with 0 issues yet. Just keep in mind these are not high end, but work well and you will not be to upset if they get hit out on the trails etc.

Best money I've spent in years, coming from someone who buys a lot of audio stuff for my truck, it sounds great it has enough bass in it, but it doesn't sound too clear right now because I haven't fully sealed it off, but just from the sound of it now it's clear enough, so with out a doubt best money I've spent. Thanks guys. And also good product, highly recommend them to anyone I use mine for off road on my fourwheeler and they get covered in mud and still sound great with mud on them.
