h2o pump
May be a good product but due to poor packaging by amazon it was damaged by FedEx, had to go to a local parts store and get it for ten bucks more, should of just done it in the first place and saved myself some time. The airtex that I got from Carquest is working great and if there is a warranty issue now its easy to get replaced.

Exact fit OEM part
Made by an OEM supplier of parts for GM. This pump was for my '98 GMC P/U and fit perfectly; it is an exact duplicate of the original water pump. It comes with a pair gaskets; you'll need to reuse the bolts. You'll need a large crescent (adjustable) wrench and rubber mallet to remove the fan clutch; watch the vids on removing a GM fan clutch on u-tube. Or the special tool set borrowed from you local parts store. The upper right hand bolt will need sealant as it penetrates the water passage in the block.

Good value
The pump seams to be well made . Came with gaskets needed to in stall . It could have been packed a little better. It had been tossed around a bit and the edge of the pump went through the original box but not the secondary outer box

Defective part
This part has a leak around one of the heater core lines. This is a manufacturing defect. I have been unable to contact anyone to help with this problem. I need a replacement pump. This is not a repairable problem.

A little noisey on cold starts after a couple months of use. Still working though.

Bought used very good condition. Item worked as OEM. Dont hesitate to buy. Certified mechanic recommendation.

Part itself is good. Buy different Gaskets
The water pump itself seems to be doing just fine. Nothing about the part makes me question the quality. Matches the stock unit. What I can say is the gaskets that come with it are weak. If they get a little bit wet during install and you have issues lining up the bolts they fall apart super easy. I had to buy 2 Felpro gaskets for this to install. Local part story had them in stock for $2.00 each. Buying this water pump and the gaskets separately I still saved a bunch of money. Id just advise to pick up gaskets on the side and not rely on the ones that come with this unit.
