After a couple uses the stitching needs to be touched up.
Was told (questions & answer section) these dummies came with grommets but they did not. The grommets are nice because the ends are folded and secured well, plus you can change the rope if need be. If there is a weak point with these it is in the sewing. They should be sewn across the end of the straight stitch to keep it from unravelling. I will just sew the end areas myself to keep it from unravelling but .. for $21 shouldn't have to do that. The dummies also had the scent strip on it (piece of velcro). Hubby has some older canvas dummies, these will never last as long as those ones, material not as durable as the old canvas ones ... but for now these will be fine.

Good buy if you qualify for free shipping
We have an 11 month old black lab that we are training in the river bordering our property. It is a fairly shallow but fast running river so we have already lost 2 of them when she couldn't follow them. Those were Browning's @ $15 each and this was a better buy using Prime for free shipping making them $10 each and they appear to be just as good a quality. Without free shipping you might have to reconsider. She is getting better about following them so hopefully these will get us through her training!

Great for training my pup.
Great for the price. I been useing them for my six-month-year-old lab. works well on the field and water. And I don’t get too upset when a dog tears into it needs to be thrown out

Add some grouse scent and you have a true winner
I bought these nylon dummies so I could use grouse scent - I put drops on the surface as well as inject the scent (Pete Rickard's) into the dummies. It works great and my yellow Lab loves retrieving the dummies from the thickest vegetation. These now have a nylon rope attached (the older version required that you add one yourself) to aid in throwing.

Big is not always better.
These dummies are fine for most retrievers that are 50# & up. I have a female Irish lab who is 45 # and 1 year old. The dummies are about as big as she can handle. If you have a puppy, select a smaller dummy. You don't want to leave these alone with a young dog. They will end up shredded.

Decent Product
Good size and feel, but faded to a dull orange within a week of use. Satisfied overall but not highly impressed. Might buy again or might try another brand.

Seem well made and work as intended.
The product was fine, There were no brass grommets as described, which is fine because they are usually the part that rots out first.
