K & S Engineering 164 Solid Brass Rod, 1/8" x 12" (Pack of 10)

The K&S brass rods make perfect axles for an operational overhead belt system for a model I am making for the Cave Creek Museum..

These brass rods are great and exactly what I was looking for.However, the packaging by seller “Aidleyco Baby” was quite poor. They were placed in a roughly 1x1in box before being placed within the shipping package. This small box does not hold them very well as when it arrived 2 of the rods had fallen out. I can easily see how this could lead to the bent rods that the other reviewer spoke of. Thankfully I did not have this issue.As my issue was with a single seller's packaging and not the items I have to give this item 5 stars.

Worked great

I started making wooden hinges and use this for the pins. They're perfectly straight and blemish free. Easy to cut with a hack saw and peen over with a small ball peen hammer.

I thought that these rods would have been fairly straight being sold and shipped in a box but unfortunately they were warped to begin with. So straight brass rods is not what i recieved.

Yes indeed, solid brass and shines up nicely. Just like in my Navy days.

a little thicker than I wouldve liked, but thats only because i dont know how to measure.

It is round. It is hard. It is twelve inches in length. It is a brass rod. Now get your mind out of the gutter

this what I need to finish my wooden hinges the fit is very good
