Hard like rock
This is great stuff we used under water to seal paint when it started peeling under water from the concrete poolAfter applying last summer we scrubbing cracked paint this spring and we scrubbed the paint but the sealer sticks on concrete like a rock and doesn’t come out and we cannot scrub it from the concrete pool no matter how we triedWe was cutting equal size of the pool putty resin and pool putty hardener 1-2 inches pieces at the time and kneaded two pieces together for a few minutes as instruction said i don’t remember until it soft and we pushed it on the pool walls where was paint peeling under water and after it sticks little bit we spreading it as fast as we could covering cracked areas as more as possible until it’s hardened and doesn’t spread anymore under water and we never cleaned surfaces before or after applying itWe did this In lots of areas many times and it’s hard until this year spring and we cannot get it out from pool before repaintingThe only hope that paint will stick to that sealerBut if not then it is white and our pool paint is white and will be not much differenceFor those who gave 1 star I know exactly it is working even under waterBut it possible that they didn’t not knead it properly or enough time as said in instructions or used whole thing at once which would be hard to knead it or just used one of the two parts of hardening part separately and resin part separately ?That’s the only things I can think aboutBecause we were using it a lot on our pool under water last summer and cannot get it from the pool next spring right now because of extreme hardness of this two parts pool putty productIf it worked for us under water on top of peeling paint and without any knowledge but just kneading two equal parts for 5 minutes or so I don’t rememberI put time on alarm clock on my phone how much to knead it. It is so hard now in 9 months after pain pool started peelingWe used it also on the skimmers cracks andIt didn’t come out alsoIt’s lots stronger than the cement patches sealers in my experienceThe only it’s not much in the tubes and I had to order lots of it to cover large areas under waterBut it is pretty affordable as long as don’t raise the price :))

Easy to use, does great job
Had a leak in my pool, about an inch a day! Traced it to the skimmer, which was leaking where it used to be attached to pool wall. To verify, squirt a few drops of red food coloring near where you suspect the leak is. If the red gets sucked into the crack, that's your leak.I had tried JB Weld water putty, but it was difficult to work with. Too sticky on my gloves, hard to get it to stay where I wanted it cuz it wouldn't let go of my gloves and pulled back out. This stuff was much better. Easy to work work & mix. And stuck to the crack, not my gloves, even as I pushed it in and worked it to smooth it out. Also used small bits to cover rust stains on bottom. Can barely see the white spots on bottom, vs the rust spots that jumped out at you. This is easy to use, good under water epoxy.

Not the best for under water applications
I got this for I could seal some pre-drilled holes inside my fiberglass pool. It works great however when you’re underwater with it if you lay out thin, it starts shredding and flying with the water so it’s best if you don’t use it underwater with thin application; you have to put it on thick. It took about 45 mins above water to get hard. Underwater I assume will take longer.

Sealed our fiberglass pool seams easily and inexpensively, without draining the pool
This stuff is fantastic! I help to maintain the community pool for our condominium association, which is an oval pool with fiberglass sides and a plaster bottom. The caulk between each of the fiberglass panels had deteriorated and we were losing significant amounts of water through the seams. We considered draining the pool to re-caulk the seams prior to opening, but with the heavy storms and flooding in our area, we were afraid that hydrostatic pressure could do further damage to the pool. After quite a bit of research I found this product and it seemed like the perfect answer.I cut the compound, including the cardboard tube, in sections about 1 inch long from each tube and mixed/kneaded the two materials per the instructions. I then rolled the product into strings about the thickness of a cigarette and applied them to the seams, both underwater and above water. When I ran out of material, I mixed more, doing it in this fashion to ensure that the product didn't begin to harden before application.Application was simple, and it was easy to smooth the material into place and ensure a tight seal with just my finger. I sealed all 10 seams with one set of the product. I checked the seams after an hour, and every seam still looked perfect and the product was literally as hard as a rock. Time will tell if the product holds up as promised, but I see no reason why it should not. Using this product was actually far easier and less expensive than using Vulkem Seal or a traditional caulking product, and was easier and neater to apply. I also expect it won't deteriorate like other sealants. Based upon my experience so far, I would definitely recommend this to anyone requiring a sealant for similar purposes. I also intend to make this product known to my local pool supply company to recommend to others with similar issues.
