The Gift (Witch & Wizard #2) Mass Market Paperback – March 1, 2012

It's a simple book, easy to read, and very engaging. I love all the characters and their development from adolescent teens to leaders of the free world. Some plot twists were expected while others caught me off guard. And then their were times where I found myself yelling at the book because the answer is right in front of them and somehow they can't seem to find it. Overall, I can't wait to see where The Fire leads us!

Next chapter in the Whit & Wisty saga. Full of adventure & drama. Good read.

This book was a great book for any age not just the young adult crowd. The book however was not as good as the first but it was still in my top 10 of the best book of the year. If you have not read the first book you should read it first otherwise you may be lost in this book. I found myself out of breath in this book looking for the action to stop so I could catch my breath. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age it is a great book.

A fitting sequel to the first book as the witch and wizard continue to learn their place in this adventure and their powers continue to grow with every battle.

I enjoyed being able to read the first chapters of the second story in this series free of charge. Had I had to pay for this, I would be disappointed by its abrupt stop.This Witch & Wizard series is enjoyable and an interesting mix of popular YA fiction plots that are best sellers these days. If you enjoyed Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and The Mortal Instruments... you will most likely enjoy this series too.

***WARNING***After reading these twenty one chapters you will be forced to buy the whole book! James Patterson is fantastic at writing YA novels, and this is a great example. The book continues were the last book left off, and pulls you deeper into the suspenseful life of Whit and Wisty. You begin to learn more about their parent's abduction, and are thrown through a few thousand loopholes as well. If you are a fan of this series, this addition will not disappoint and will leave you with no choice but to buy the whole book!Prepare to be mystified, shocked, and maybe a little nervous as you read these sampling chapters!

The product arrived in just two days, thanks to Amazon Prime. It was packaged well and brand new, as advertised. I bought the paperback version because I own the first book in the series in paperback as well. I'm a little disappointed that this book is much larger. As a collector of books and authors I enjoy, I prefer to have series the same size and all in either hardcover or paperback.This series is one of the first James Patterson books I have read. When my boyfriend lent me his copy of "Witch & Wizard," I was pretty apprehensive. However, after giving it a chance, I was surprised to find I actually enjoyed it. I have just begun reading the second book, "The Gift," and I'm excited. If the first chapter is a preview of what the entire book will be look, then I'm quite happy. Both my boyfriend and I are new Patterson fans.

After getting so caught up in the first book of the series, I couldn't wait to read on to see what would happen next. I completely loved this book, it is a perfect mix of fantasy, heartbreak, hope, bravery and brilliant one-liners & sarcasm! I can relate to the characters so well. I believe they are real people, and the book is an actual glimpse into what their life is like, which is completely unpredictable! I would completely recommended this book to anyone who loves heroic adventure stories with a magical element! I thoroughly enjoyed reading every page, and I can't wait to read to next one!
