Only thing that works to unclog our 1949 rusty bathroom sink pipe
I use CLR/Jelmar Power Plumber as a preventative twice a month and whenever our bathroom sink drains slowly/gets fully clogged. It is truly the only product that works on our old rusty pipes... have tried all kinds of Draino, pipe snakes, plungers, all with no luck. Clogs don't happen in the U-trap... I think most the rust and restriction is where the pipe goes into the wall. Can't use sulfuric acid products since our pipes are so old.Our sink drain is somewhat sloped and is close to the back wall of the sink, so it's tricky to line the can top directly over the drain for best effect. The plunger attachment is too big to use in the sink. Therefore, it sometimes takes 1/2 a can to clear a clog. I try to stock up on this (can sometimes find the Plumber Can refills at Publix). To use, you fill your sink up with water to cover the green cap of the inverted Power Plumber Can. I cover the overflow drain with a wet rag. The air pressure/force of the plunge can be great enough to cause water to run over and off the sides of the sink, so make sure you move anything under your sink that you don't want to get wet and have plenty of old rags/towels to dry your floor. I also find it works best if I plunge 2-3 times in a row, fast enough to not allow water to rush back into the drain or let pressure equalize between plunges.I'll be using this until I can afford to replace our pipes.

was at war with slow drain
I have been at war with a slow bathtub drain for years. I would use 2 Drano Max bottles every month to help keep the water moving, but this month the Drano didn't work, and the drain was becoming even slower. The manual snake was too physically demanding and my husband wouldn't help me. Another product, Selig/ Enforcer Drain Cleaner, seemed to make it worse, however, please note that I didn't use the plunger with this product which the comments say one needs to do. Also, this product could have ultimately been a factor with my success, so I am not counting it out as ineffective.Today, in desperation, I used the ENTIRE can of Power Plumber, and although lots of dirt and crud came up on the initial blast, the clog still remained after about 8-10 blasts. Then I started to use the plunger, at first the clog became better, but when I plunged some more, the drain became completely clogged!!! However, after a little more plunging, the drain just opened up!!!! I believe what happened was that the Power Plumber disrupted the clog as evidenced by the crud that came up. But it was not flushed out but moving around the drain, thus the clog first getting better then worse. However, after a total 5 minutes with the plunger, the clog was fully flushed and the drain ran clear.Moral--I was so disappointed when I first used this product, had tried everything, and I thought I was going to have to call a plumber. Don't give up!!!! Power Plumber had disrupted the clog, so with just a bit more of plunging the drain did open!!! So keep trying!!

It’s a tie!
Bought this back in August for our bathroom sink, it was a little too tall to fit under the sink nozzle so it sat at a slight angle and one of the times we blasted, it shot crap from the drain all over me, the sink, the mirror. I didn’t let that stop me, I tried again, and again... Overall we tried blasting 4 times. our slow draining clog was too much for this thing and it seemed like we made it worse, it now wouldn’t drain at all. We gave it a few hours to sit, while we got our backup plan together. It didn’t drain. We ended pouring a tub of chemical junk down the clogged up mess and it cleared it out within an hour. I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t work for us... that is, until today!Fast forward to yesterday, I notice our sink in the garage that’s connected to the washing machine had a super slow drain, so much so, that it completely filled and overflowed.. poured some drain goop down there and then forgot about it... well, we made the slow drain a no drain on accident... so today I pulled this air can out. I figured it was worth a shot. It worked!! It worked soooo well!! It cleared that thing so fast and now it drains Like it’s brand new!Bathroom sink -nopeGarage sink- you betcha! Our bathroom sink is connected to another bathroom sink, And they both have the overflow holes, You take that and the height of the can trying to fit under the sink nozzle - I think we just couldn’t plug them up tight enough for it to build the pressure it needed. So If you have the same setup (double sinks) and doesn’t quite fit under this might not be for you, but it definitely works great on other sinks.

Save money on driano and BUY THIS!
I am AMAZED. And cannot stop laughing because I just fixed the sink!! About a week ago I noticed that the kids' bathroom sink wasn't draining hardly at all. I tried a couple things and looked online for help. I came across this product and saw a review about how they had tried draino 3 times and it hasn't worked but this did. I hadn't even tried draino yet but I figured if the draino wouldn't even work, might as well skip it and get this item.It just arrived and I immediately went to try. I filled the sink with enough water to cover the cap and blocked the overflow. I pushed down on the cap and BLAMMMOOOOHHHH!!! It immediately all started draining down freely!! I couldn't believe it! I still can't stop laughing. For one it scared the crap out of me with how much pressure it used and some gunk did come out of the overflow, but OMG the sink works again! I love being able to fix things myself when my husband is deployed! I guess I'm a plumber now. 😂😂😂😂
