Monterey LG 5600 Spurge Power Herbicide, One Pint

Three years ago Spotted Spurge was crowding out my lawn in the SLC area of Utah. Nothing worked, until I found this. It not only kills spurge, and may other broadleaf weeds, it does so fast, and in the right concentration, completely safe.

Does a good job and works quickly. Just wish it lasted the whole season.

Part of my lawn and flower beds were infested with spurge this summer. These "creepy" weeds grow and spread like crazy. In just a few weeks they invaded many areas of my lawn and the grass was strangled and languished. I tried to pull them but they will grow back from the deep roots. Fortunately I found this product. I sprayed the herbicide on the infected areas only once, and within a week most of the spurge were gone, and now after one month none existed. I highly recommend Monterrey Spurge Power. It is also very effective on clovers too. You need to follow the instructions to use the herbicide. I used too much on some areas and the grass also died with the spurge.

Weeds are dying out and the lawn is looking great!

Seemed to be hit or miss on where it worked but it did work in some areas. Applied as directed as well. Not sure I'd recommend.

I used Roundup to try to get rid of spurge, and it did not work, this was the old version which was stronger than the new Roundup. I thought the spurge was indestructible, then I used this stuff, goodbye spurge. It took a while to fully kill it, but it's gone how. I had this stuff on my back fence for years (probably 40 years), I used to just keep it trimmed, now it's finally gone. Highly recommend.

I bought this product for a spurge infestation, but the bonus is that it works on other weeds. Last year I paid a large, national lawn service for treatments and they let the spurge get totally out of control despite my many complaints and resulting re-treatments. This season, in early Spring, I treated the lawn with a granular Scott's-brand "weed-n-feed" product. It did nothing to the Spurge. Per the instructions, I mixed 1 oz. of Spurge Power with 2 gallons of water in a handheld sprayer. I sprayed all of the spurge, clover and dandelions that I could see on my 1-acre property. Within a few days, the spurge started to brown and dandelions started to wilt. Spurge Power did not harm my fescue lawn at all.
