21 Most Effective Prayers of The Bible Paperback – September 1, 2008

Good for use in group Bible study.

This book blessed me a lot. My husband bought it for me and I bought one for a friend. It’s nice knowing how to pray but when you read the word of God and see the way this people pray and the way God answer their prayers it takes you to another level in Gods presence and kingdom. There is power in prayer and more when you are a prayer warrior using the word of God against satan skims.

I know of very people who are NOT going through some kind of storm right now. Some storms seem to be the gale force of a hurricane, others a little milder. Storms can be so overwhelming that you think you are going to drown. Prayer is the ONLY way to ride out and survive the storm. I've been reading Dave Earley's book, "21 Most Effective Prayers of the Bible," particularly chapter 15 - "Save Us: The Prayer of the Disciples." While he doesn't write out a particular prayer, he does provide a springboard into your own prayer. I have been finding great peace and comfort in prayer about my storms, but I had to step up my prayer life to do it. I highly recommend you do the same.

Very rich and resourceful

This is a great book to remind us all of how to pray, why to pray and what to pray for. These principles of biblical prayer can help unlock the answers you are seeking on prayer, even if you didn't know you had questions. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever uttered a prayer in their life.

A great book on prayer from scripture. You can pick any chapter to read from anytime. We are planning to take a whole organization through 15 weeks of seasonal prayer using this book for 15 of the 21 prayers Dave mentions. You can dig as deep as you want or go as light as you want. There are insights and nuggets in every chapter. A must read to help guide and deepen one 's prayer like. Can use individually or with groups.Highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful book. I have used it as a study in my church small group and each one of us loved it. The reason for the 4 stars is the author is clearly quite conservative which can be a little heavy handed, but the message is awesome, inspiring and encouraging!

A great book for making you remember who is in charge and what you really mean when you pray.

An Old Testament perspective is used here for Christians but it does help those whose scriptural studies or worship services lack the full complement of readings, i.e. Old Testament, Psalms, Pauline letters or Acts of the Apostles, and Gospel, as in the Catholic Mass, within their Sunday celebrations.
