My thumb nails keep splitting. I have them cut back as far as possible but they keep splitting as they grow out. Will this product help?

Yes! I put on 2/3 coats, appy polish and follow polish with a clear coat. My polish use to chip after 4/5 days but stays on for 2/3 weeks now. I also take Hair revive from healthfood store which helps hair,skin and nails and I am not sure which one did the trick but my nails are long and georgeus. Were chipping & brittle before. I now use it eveerytime my nails are done and will continue to do so. A little pricy but well worth the money to have these natural nails. Have questions on who does my nails as they look so natural. Just laugh and say thats because they are natural. Hope you try it as I don;t think you will be disappointed. Nancy Lichty

How do you remove this product? it is the worst stuff I have ever put on my nails - just sticks. goes yellowish. My nails were never this bad

I use acetone polish remover to wipe off. I think it works better than non acetone. And if you have put a couple coats of colored nail polish over Nail Envy, it takes all the polish off quickly. Then I wash my nails to remove acetone residue. I’ve done this for at least 10 years or more. I’ve had no yellowing, and my nails (that use to be paper thin after using acrylics for many years) remain strong and almost unbreakable. I do keep Nail Envy on continually. It’s boosts the nail strength.

Do this product contain formaldehyde

I think it does but I don't have the box anymore. Check this out too http://www.opi.net.au/nail_envy.shtml they have a bunch of nail envy products so maybe some are formaldehyde free. I have this one and the nail hardening one and I remember one of them on the box had formaldehyde in the ingredients list.

Can I use this as a base coat under colored OPI nailpolish? Would I keep reapplying over my color every day?

I put two coats on as a base coat and let it dry really well. Then I put the color on and let that dry really well and then put a topcoat of this on and then add another topcoat every other day and nothing has peeled for me.
