Installed on my 2004 Avalanche 2WD, fully compatible, and working great
Summary: Fit my 2004 Avalanche 2WD 5.3 V8. Completely.I like the fact that the cables came with all the fasteners, and plastic attachments/rivets pre-installed right at the correct locations. These were pretty much a drop-in exact replacement for the OEM hub bearing assemblies right down to the cables and connectors. My original front hub bearing assemblies were in need of replacement after only 265,000 miles on my '04 Avalanche. So after a bit of research, I found that Timken was "the way to go." I'm one of the lucky ones and didn't have to soak the knuckles with penetrating oil. The passenger side came out easily, and the driver side only took a bit of influence from a rubber mallet. After re-assembly, I've been actively driving on them since replacement, and the wheels have yet to fall off, so I count that as a win!

Fit as expected.
Installation went as expected but haven't been in long enough to comment on longevity. The assemblies were much more cost effective than purchasing from local parts store.

Perfect fit great aftermarket part
I started my repair by buying auto zone hub it was faulty. Sporadic abs activation and blinking abs light with auto zone’s best available hub. I did some you tubing and decided on the timken hub, made in USA half the price and great reviews. This hub fixed all my problems and is still going strong many months later. This is a good quality part perfect for my Tahoe!

My old bearings were making a pretty loud whine while driving down the road
I just received these on Monday to install on my '06 Silverado 2wd. My old bearings were making a pretty loud whine while driving down the road. I didn't have them checked but was about 99% sure that the bearings were the issue. I had watched several videos about the possible horrors of getting off the old hub assembly due to rust. Luckily I don't live in a place that we have a lot of ice on the road in the winters that has to get treated with salt. But to be sure, a couple of days prior to getting these, I started spray the bolts and hub with penetrating spray.Installation was a breeze and it only took me a little over an hour start to finish (would have been quicker but I put the first dust shield on wrong). The old hubs came out with no problems and these new ones fit perfectly. Afterwards, I drove the truck and its hard to believe how quiet it is now. It is almost like having a new truck. I had been putting off this repair for quite awhile.

Avalanche hub assembly repaired! Yeah!!!
I had a kind of grinding sound coming from my right front wheel hub on my 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500, and after doing a search on line for a Chevy forum that convinced me it was a front wheel hub. In the forum they even provided a link to Amazon ([...]) and the part and price for me to buy. I chose the Timken hub assemble because I used Timken wheel bearings before and they are a great name in bearings and the price was great. Amazon does offer other manufactures and prices to choose from.I did purchase it on line from Amazon and it arrived in a few days as promised.I got my tools ready and had a hard time removing the frozen rusting bolts that hold the brake caliper bracket but the rest was easy. The timken hub assemble was easy to put on and now the trucks drives like new again. Now I need to buy one to do the left front side, but that will be a piece of cake now that I know what to expect and where to get the part at the best price possible.Thank you Chevy Avalanche Forum for the info and link and thank you Amazon for the great price and fast delivery. One happy customer,B.
