I wasn't sure what I expected, but this book exceeded what I thought it would cover. Not just for business owners or entrepreneurs and creative, but for any Christian who WANTS to build decipher right where they are.

A brilliant look at bringing the inside of the church to the marketplace! Real Christianity has a place there and Darren Shearer does a spectacular job of breaking it down and making it practical! A must read for any Christian in business!

A very good read. I love that it has practical applications. It goes beyond just telling you about the spiritual gifts are and gives real, practical applications of each gift. It is a great resource to learn about my own spiritual gifts and acted as a guide to help me to start seeing spiritual gifts in other people as well!

The author sheds light on how we can apply our gifts in the marketplace. I used to compartmentalize my gifts and thought that these only apply when I'm in "ministry mode", but now I understand that I should be integrating these gifts in every area of my life.

Nice easy introduction to the topic and spiritual gifts survey with a business twist. For more depth read Every Good Endevour by Timothy Keller

We are enjoying Darren Shearer's The Market Place Christian in our Bible Study. Darren Shearer also signed the book and sent a letter asking for feedback. How Cool is that? This book creates a Bigger Awareness to who we are as Christians and how we can make an impact in our work life to serve others.If we think of Christ in our day to day work we will see a greater outcome!! This book creates an awareness of how much greater we can be as we work for the Lord and the rewards that come with doing so.

I enjoyed the examples for Christian application in the workplace. These were worth the purchase price of the Kindle book.

Interesting book about taking your spiritual gifts to the marketplace. Picked up some inspiration from it, and the assessment at the end (I used the tool on the website instead) was decent, though not particularly deep or specific.Only thing I didn’t like is that I still don’t have an answer to the question of how using the gifts in the marketplace directly lead to the Great Commission, as the author says.I can share some wisdom, for example, with my colleagues on a project (which is great and definitely useful), but how does that point them back to Jesus as the source and inspire them to become believers?I’d still love an answer to this!
