I'm 5'9 and 175lbs. I bought a medium and it fits like a medium should. It's not muscle shirt tight, but fits comfortably according to the size. If you normally wear a large I would definitely purchase a large unless you like your shirt to fit a little tighter like a muscle shirt you may be safe to buy a size down.
