Tasted good
Overall I enjoyed the taste and the product was good. That being said the price for 3 was just ridiculous. I purchased this to try it but I wouldn't purchase again at that price.

Good Taste; Somewhat Expensive - Update: Same Best By Date As a Year Ago
Update 9-27-2021 - I ordered another 3-pack last week. When they arrived today, I saw they had a Best By date of March 2023, not very far off. But even worse, it's the same Best By date as for the turnovers I bought a year ago. So, the vendor is still shipping older stock that has not been updated. As a result, I reduced my rating from 4 to 3. The turnover I opened had a reasonable amount of blueberry paste, with actual bits of blueberries. In the middle it was as thick as in the description photo, but not as thick on the outer edges. The bread is typical MRE-style bread. But it was light in texture. For me, it was more than acceptable as emergency food, especially as a breakfast item. The 3-4 year shelf life is good. My main concern is price. At $7-8 for each turnover, it is an expensive “snack.” So, it is not something I would use for normal food. But the turnover, like other Bridgford foods, is a good supplement to other emergency foods. I believe Bridgford is a supplier of meat- and fruit-filled pastries for military MRE meals.

Blueberry turnover
These turnovers are made using the typical MRE type of bread but with a blueberry filling. They can be eaten right out of the package and they're good, but they're even better if you warm them up. Great item to have in the truck for snacking.

A tad bit misleading...
While the item itself is great, buyer be aware that these are not the Bridgford 2-pack shown in the picture. You literally only get 3 meals. This makes them far too expensive to order via Amazon. If you go to the Bridgford main webpage you will see these packs and they list 2-meals per pack. The pics shown here are deceptive and lead you into thinking you actually get 6-meals. My bad for falling for this and I will not repeat my mistake.

Impressive flavor
Excellent flavor very impressed with the storeability, however the price is a little steep. Nevertheless, I do understand the sellers difficulty in obtaining these items on an individual basis, so it is appreciated. These are good breakfast meals. The taste is excellent, they are a bit sweet but they are filling.

3-sandwhiches, not 3 packages as shown in image
I'm giving this a 1 star due to how this is being sold and shipped to customers and not due to how the product itself is. Bridgford makes great MRE meals, and the sandwiches are no different. They're meant to be filling, have a lot of fiber, and keep you full longer with a decent taste. My issue though is that these are advertised as being a 3pack. Well the image clearly shows 3 original packages from Bridgford and each package has 2sandwiches, so one would think that they're ending up with 6 sandwiches. However, what the sellers are actually doing is either opening the original packages to sell you the sandwiches inside individually (3pack = 3 sandwiches) or they're buying the bulk box of individual sandwiches and selling you 3 sandwiches. In either case, they're advertising that they're selling the originally packaged 2sandwiches per pack x 3packs, using the original packaging throughout the advertisement, and then selling you only 1 Sandwich per "pack". I got my refund for this since I can't send back food but I shouldn't have to ask for either a partial or full refund, I should be sold what was advertised to me.

Good for backup
These are actually good for what they are, prep food or backup. I read some of the reviews saying there was little filling and mostly bread, I found them to be proportional. Eating them cold is very MRE, but toast them and they were very tasty, the kids loved them. Only reason I didn't give them five stars, I think they could be a little less expensive for the portion.
