they are smooth and nice looking, feel nice in your hand too; however, the part under the hook, the throat is rough! by rough, I mean it should maybe be sanded. Fine thread--Yarn catches on the roughness. I have started several projects with these lovely bamboo crochet hooks and after just a few stitches, I toss the hook aside and go back to the traditional steel or aluminum hook depending on the size. Needs refinement

I love bamboo hooks. These have a wide variety and that’s great. Some of them you can’t read the size on and they also have snags due to not being sanded all the way. Be prepared to file them before you tear your yarn.

I am currently working on a project and thought wooden hooks would be nicer feel than aluminum. When I received them I took the hook out and immediately noticed it was warped. In looking at the other hooks many were slightly off, but the one I needed for my project was very bad.

Love the way these feel, the texture feel much better than the plastic or metal hooks

Not all hooks were sanded well enough and caught on yarn. Also, unfortunately there are no letter designations for sizes.

These are much easier to work with than I thought they would be. I had a mind set that they would snag the yarn because they are wood. This is so untrue they work beautifully and are as smooth as any of my other hooks. I love them.

Spent many years as a knitter. As soon as bamboo needles came out I was in. I tried the metal hooks but they dig into my palm and the weight tires my wrist. Bamboo anything is awesome!
