This actually works. Made from glass and metal with makes it easy to clean and operate. This is like the ones found in restaurants, made for heavy use.It will drip if not used correctly but overall the small amount of drip I can live with.I highly recommend this pitcher if your tired of buying cheap junk that doesn't work.

I've been using it one month. Metal top is very sturdy and seals well to hold in the syrup when I tilt it BEFORE I pull back the lever to pour it out (that's the secret to good pouring without a mess and no leaking). Another trick ... let go of the lever BEFORE you un-tilt / put the bottle right up - this also reduces dribble/leaking down the side. Some people complain about the gasket, but it works great if you install it correctly (that is also very important for making the product work properly without leaking). I heat my syrup before I use it, so glass and metal top are VERY crucial for me. I have 4 syrup containers and this is the best one. I highly recommend it and I'm glad I chose this particular model over the many others on the website.

Love this! I'm going to use it for sugar. It looks exactly like my grandmother's sugar container. The design is only slightly different from hers. It's not too weighty, but solid and feels sturdy. It holds a good amount of sugar and the trigger to open the mouth is super simple, but won't spill if the kids knock it over. I think it's worth the money for glass and metal, just like when I was a kid.

I should explain up front that I did not purchase this for the purpose of dispensing syrup or honey. Perhaps it would work perfectly for those liquids. My goal was to use it for vinaigrette salad dressing. I have been searching for a way to put my homemade salad dressing out on the table in a dipsenser that would not leak, since I have learned that my guests enjoy being able to regulate how much dressing goes on their salads; some like to pour it on, some like just a little. This dispenser has an old fashioned look and is attractive. It is made of glass with a metal top, as promised. But even when following the advice of other reviewers about how to ensure that the rubber gasket is installed correctly, the dressing still leaked when poured. Not a lot, but just enough so that oil dripped on the table, and could have dripped on someone's clothing. I was disappointed. It is possible that this would be perfect for something dry, like sugar, although I haven't tried that yet.

Very good quality container which comes with a spill proof lid. I have been using for honey and it makes it very convenient to pour and it doesn’t spill all over the place. Looks great on display!

Since I buy maple syrup by the gallon or half gallon, I needed a convenient dispenser, and this one works well. I gave it 4 stars because it does drip a little bit -- on the other hand, I haven't found a pitcher or dispenser that doesn't!

We tried it for honey and so some reason, the honey leaked out the top. Works fine for maple syrup. maybe our honey was too thick?

I was searching for one of these for a while at my local Bed, Bath, and Beyond store, but for the longest time they didn't carry them. So I decided to purchase one from good ol' Amazon. The 14oz. dispenser is a large one, so it can hold quite a bit of honey or syrup. The top is sturdy and comes with a rubber washer / sealer so that nothing will spill or leak from the dispenser - and it works!The top lever that opens up can be opened a little or a lot, depending on how much you want to dispense. But this also controls the flow so that you don't over do it when serving yourself some waffle or pancake syrup. My wife and I like unscrew the top, put the glass container in the microwave and heat up the syrup prior to serving. Then we replace the lid and serve - this works very well!All around, we are happy with our purchase. Of course, shortly after purchasing this dispenser, the EXACT same one was then available at our local Bed and Bath for less - so keep an eye out!
