I absolutely adore this clock. I've been wanting to buy a clock with a Westminster chime that would remind me of the clocks in my grandparents' and in-laws' houses, but I was worried that the newer chimes would sound digital and tinny. I don't use the other two chime options, so I can't comment on them, but the Westminster option sounds beautiful. After the melody plays, when the clock strikes the number of hours, that strike tone is not as deep and resonant as old-fashioned clocks, but I don't care because of the loveliness of the Westminster melody. The instructions are badly written but as another reviewer advised, just read them through a few times to get the gist. After I did that, I was able to get it set up in no time, and I had zero problems. The chimes were synchronized correctly from the get-go (1 chime per hour in the Westminster setting) and all settings worked as they should. Absolutely seamless. I like that we can turn off the chimes at night -- an excellent feature -- but be aware that the "silent" time is preset and not adjustable: the chimes go off at 10:45 p.m. and come back on at 6 a.m. And I like that there is a volume control. It's a nice-looking clock, keeps perfect time, and has been a wonderful addition to our home. I just couldn't be happier.

Purchased this after passing on several antique key-wound mechanical Regulator-type clocks. This one certainly looks the part of vintage and was easy to set-up. I bought it during a sale on Amazon, so it was priced right too. Chimes are well done for an electronic clock and the volume control is appreciated. Lacks the tick-tock of a mechanical clock and the authentic chimes, but certainly seems to be a reliable timekeeper with adequate sounds and it looks great on my office wall. Not bad Bulova!

I’ve had this clock for a few days now and it is working accurately . All the mechanism controls are in the back, so when there is a time change or you might want to make adjustments, the clock will need to be removed from the wall. There is only one thing about the chime. I have it set on the 4 x 4 Westminster chime. It sounds great, but at the last note of the chime, rather than let the resonance fade away, it’s cut off abruptly. It’s noticeable and jarring to my ear. I suppose I will eventually get used to it. I love having the chimes.

It is a beautiful clock, very easy to set up. Love the chimes. The case is made of wood, but the clock face window and regulator see thru are made of plastic. I feel it is an excellent buy for the price. I replaced a broken 47-year-old clock with this, and the quality and workman ship are almost as good. A couple parts made with cheaper materials, but that's to be expected.

I bought this to replace a very similar clock that had been damaged and no longer worked. It was easy to set-up following the provided directions and it fit perfectly in the same location where the older clock hung. I was able to turn the chime sound off as I already had a chiming pendulum clock. It is very attractive and very well made.

Now this is a nice wall clock. I purchased and returned the cheaper clock from Realtime. The Bulova is real wood. Chimes sound great. Option of hourly, quarter hourly, Ave Maria, Westminister or bim bam. Roman numeral four is the traditional wall clock version. Much larger in size and adjustable volume and night shutoff option. You get what you pay for.
