Easy to understand - accessible and FULL of the right kind of info!
I got the book delivered yesterday evening and am already more than half way through - it's not like me to read a nutrition book like this - it's a real easy read and i find it very applicable and relevant - every time i turn a page there's something that's appropriate, interesting and, most importantly, useful in my journey to fuelling myself well for competition and an overall healthy, active life - well done Matt and Enette, and thank you!

If you're a professional then good not for home cooks.
Way too technical for me, also as a vegan it doesn't help.

Amazing for any person interested in nutrition regardless of diet.
Super interesting book that includes tips for vegan nutrition but overall knowledge is relevant to any athlete regardless of diet. Made ma think of what I eat pre and post workout and how I mix ingredients to get the most of nutrient content.

Layman's terms, straight talking plant based nutrition
A must read for any athlete who eats a whole food plant based diet. There's a lot about vegetarian nutrition too, do be prepared to read that too. Written in layman's terms for anyone to understand. Straight talking no nonsense information

Very good book indeed, and easy to comprehend
An exceedingly old book, one of the best in this “modern age”. Thoroughly researched, easy recipes.

Ignore / change numbers to suit their conclusions
There are a number of places where the comment is - this is the percentage for vegetarians but if you include people who eat a little meat (I.E not vegetarians) the number is much higher. Also they commented on studies that didn't meat their conclusions and then said they didn't count. Unimpressed with this book in its entirety.

FANTASTIC RESOURCE! Must buy.
I’m a health and fitness professional and use this book as a resource for myself and my clients wanting to eat plant based ( or just more plants!) while maintaining fitness/performance goals. Complicated topics are broken down, all the major vitamins and minerals are discussed and there’s even great recipes to try out! I also enjoyed the basic nutrition and exercise tables in the index. Once again: FANTASTIC RESOURCE! Buy it now.

Interesting
Great book, lots of useful information. I have not read other related books yet, therefore, I am not sure about the certainty of the information presented, but, information has sources well defined for every study mentioned. As soon as I finished reading it, I'll verify everything mentioned in it.

Informative and perfect for CEC
I first bought a generic book on sports nutrition and was very disappointed on the emphasis of meat and dairy. I was recommended this book by a vegan friend. The information is up to date and very informative. The book emphasizes plant foods first then makes suggestions on when and how to supplement with non-plant based foods which I really appreciate. There’s also a coupon in the back for 1/2 off the Human Kinetics continuing education credit exam which is perfect because I’m due to renew my health coaching certification!
