Excellent value for the price!
I purchased this belt to replace a Levis leather belt I'd had for about 15 years. This belt came in a nice gift box, with some extra hardware and a hole punch (more on that in a minute) and the belt itself was in a fabric protective sleeve. It's the kind of attention to detail you would expect from something that cost 3 or 4 times as much. In fact, I've had belts a lot more expensive than this one that weren't packaged nearly as well. The belt itself is solid leather instead of that cheap, laminated leather that a lot of inexpensive belts are made out of. It's a little stiff, but it's not uncomfortable, and I'm sure it will "break in" over time. The buckle is heavy-duty, and the length of the belt is adjustable - however the adjustment is permanent. Basically, the buckle is attached with a separate piece of leather that wraps around the end of the belt, and is held on with some threaded hardware. To adjust the length, you have to unscrew the hardware, remove the buckle, then use a shop knife or X-acto to cut to the length you need. That's where the hole punch comes in, because you have to create a new hole for the hardware to reattach the buckle. This belt seems like you should be able to get years of wear out of it. The one weak point is that separate piece of leather that holds the buckle on. That piece is only about half as thick as the leather the belt is made out of, and I suspect it might stretch or break over time, or the hardware might pull through the hole in the leather. If it ends up being a problem in the short term, I may adjust my review accordingly. Right now though, I'm super impressed after a week of wear, and happily give it 5 stars.

Not 100% leather, high gloss.
Not 100% leather as described; the inner is leather bonded with an outer poly material- so it is two pieces glued together. However, it is of good quality material worth its price. The paint is of great quality; I scraped a piece of it with a knife and the paint remained strongly in place without losing its gloss, so I am confident it will last a couple of dacades without fading. It comes with a hole puncher incase adjustments are needed, but the punch doesn’t work because it’s made of cheap aluminum and on the first hits goes dull and doesn’t puncture at all, so you will need a steel one. The belt has a high gloss paint. @memerios1020

For the money this is 5-stars
This is a nice item. Thinking about getting a couple more for gifts. For the money, this is 5 stars all the way. For quality, I'd deduct a half star or so because the leather is pretty stiff, this isn't top quality soft Italian leather like you'd see in a $40 belt. It's more like rawhide lol. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not top of the line. It looks like a normal black belt. I have four black belts, all are a little softer leather but I don't mind having a tough one like this. It's matte not glossy. It still flexes and feels fine. The fact you can customize the fit by cutting is great, you can get a really perfect fitting belt this way. Don't worry about ordering the right size just order it much bigger than you need because you'll cut it to fit when you try it on. It's very easy to punch the hold and screw in the buckle, they even give you the leather punch. Nice item for sure and could easily sell for twenty bucks. Comes in a very nice display box!

Fantastic High Quality Belt
I have worn this belt almost daily now for 3 months. It still looks great. My experience with buying belts in the past at the usual clothing stores is that they start having spots that flake or lose color within the first few months. This belt shows none of those signs and was cheaper than what I typically pay. Other reviewers have mentioned that the loop does not hold together well which is absolutely true, for such a good quality belt, the loop is poorly made and attached. I like the look of the belt without the loop so I just took it off.

Breaks after little use
My husband loves this belt. He loved how you can trim it and alter it as needed. I bought it when we needed a last minute belt. He wore it once, but then my husband is military so he wears a uniform 5-6 days a week. On his off time he wears pajamas because he hates uniforms. He is recruiting now so his boss said they can wear khakis. This is recent. Maybe a month so he started wearing this belt daily. Two weeks in, it breaks so that’s maybe 13 uses. The buckle just snapped off. I took a picture so you can see. It’s a flimsy bar with the middle part on it. No wonder it broke fast. But then I bought an $8 buckle on Amazon to replace the buckle, because my husband loves this leather belt! I had to use my sewing seam ripper to remove that thin bar and replace it with the $8 buckle. Now I have to sew, by hand because I do not own a commercial sewing machine that sews through leather, the buckle area(see picture). But my wonderful husband loves this belt. SMH. I even ordered two more. That way when they break he has more to use until I can repeat the above process. Pros: It’s real and thick leather It’s stylish It’s adjustable It looks good Cons Flimsy buckle- doesn’t seem to be one piece or if it is it breaks pretty easily (maybe wear it loose!)

Trim to fit system is genius!
I am rough on belts. I got a full year of use at work with dress pants and outside with yard work. I ordered a second one for work and the one that is just starting to get ragged on the surface and edges I’ll keep using for yard work. Funny thing about the slide off stay loop : since I was able to cut to size I found the extra belt stay was not needed. My pant loops hold the end in place. I never missed the belt stay till the new one came in. I guess I could punch a hole and use the extra ‘threaded-rivet’ (please excuse the oxymoron) but I am not a fan of a staple on the stay in the way. Anyway I don’t really feel I need the stay. Finding the right length of a belt is such a deterrent for me to buy a belt and such a wast of my valuable time. I’m a fan of this system and I’ll reorder as needed. Very satisfied.
