There should be a FREE online reference model for clients to defend themselves

Owning one of these is extremely helpful, because psychiatrists often wander astray of official definitions. I'm not a psychiatrist. I have had to deal with psychiatrists and one of the most appalling things that I encounter is their failure to do research. As such I think it's good to come up with a proper scientific classification and standardization system. I'm happy that there is such a thing as the DSM-5 guide, but I do have to note, due to its history that it may suffer some amount of prejudice, also considering the fact that in previous versions homosexuality and other non-harmful and non-selfish behaviors were a part of it. As long as it isn't harmful to anyone or selfish, it isn't a disorder or illness. The fact that people are attributed mental illnesses to degrees is to me a step forward. Some people have a bad flue, others just sneeze. It's the same with mental illnesses and people should learn to see it that way. The one thing I don't agree with, is that there isn't an official online reference of mental disorders and illnesses for people that have to deal with psychiatrists. A lot of psychiatrists in the Netherlands believe that what their a priori belief-system represents is the truth. This isn't necessarily true. For instance in forensic science it's widely known that psychiatric profilers tend to be wrong more, than that they are right. This is a problem. There should be a free online reference, with clear rules and procedures, illustrating to those that have to deal with psychiatry, what conditions need to be met for anyone to be diagnosed with specific disorders. It's too easy for psychiatrists to diagnose people with some kind of disorder or mental illness, without clients being able to check or defend themselves against what they say. We do have rights, and these need to be acknowledged. With the current price, the book is too expensive for most of us that have had to deal with psychiatry. There should be a FREE online reference model as described.
