Thoroughly recommend.

The fan was advertised as ultra-quiet. It is ultra-quiet while running at 6 litres per second, i.e. cloakroom speed. However I've installed it in the bathroom for which it needs to run at 18 litres per second, and at this speed it's very noisy - too noisy to be continuously running anywhere near where people are sleeping. It doesn't seem to be possible to trickle at low speed and boost at high speed.

This fan is really well thought out & we installed it in a rental property which we have. The tenants raised damp, humidity and mould as an issue. We thought it more a ventilation issue (too many closed windows). This fan constantly ventilates using very low electricity and is definitely helping to keep the room clear of humidity. It boosts when they shower or bathe. We thought it will help the nearby rest of the property less damp too.On the downside it is not as quiet as we would have liked on trickle and is not silent. You probably wouldn’t want it in an en-suite.

Needed a quiet fan to ventilate and dry a bath/shower room, intelligent enough to switch up to a more powerful (and noisy) setting while getting the job done. Oh, and also satisfying building regs with trickle ventilation. There were no reviews for any iConstant model at the time, but the iCon15 model was rated quiet, and the iCon30 had oomph. Went for the HT iConstant at a cheaper price than Amazon, configured it using the DIP switches, and been happy with it since. The bathroom dries in good time, while later the fan is mainly running on its lowest fan speed which is quiet.I have seen a recent negative review for a Timer-only iConstant model complaining of the fan noise, and suspect the electrician has chosen the highest fan speed settings when lower ones are available (DIP switches). This should be easy to reset by following the instructions.Happy with the iConstant, even though cheaper alternatives exist.

The good - easy to install, good build quality. The bad- It is not possible to to select the lowest trickle speed and then boost to the maximum extraction for say when taking a shower. Each trickle speed has a set speed it can boost to so 6L trickle to 8L boost, 8L trickle to 13L boost, 13L trickle to 20L boost. This is a major downside to this fan.

Widely quoted as the quietest fan on the market when working on 'trickle' mode. Not so. It has an annoyingly hard fan noise which, while not the loudest, appears to be loud due to the irritating tone. This is disappointing for an expensive fan that promises a lot but doesn't deliver.
