Zenith Zoysia Grass Seed - 2 LBS

It just did nothing when put down by their directions. I Did get some weeds. lol Other than that ....I got nothing

After 4 weeks, I’m not impressed.

Waste of money, I paid $174 for 2 lbs of seed that is the smallest bag I have ever seen.

Zoysia is normally vegetatatively propagated, a fairly expensive method involving the use of plugs and plantings of grass sod or sprigs. Because of the cost and labor involved in plugging, for 60 years, they have been trying to develop a seeded zoysia that is as good as the plugged varieties (eg,, Z-52). Success has not arrived yet. Zoysia seed is extremely moisture constrained, and in the unlikely event you can get it to germinate, it is often genetically unstable, producing a thick bladed, rather light green, non-uniform turf. (However, recent cultivars, like Zenith, have better leaf texture and color.) Given the low cost of seeded zoysia compared to plugged, a seeded zoysia lawn is still a good option for many people, as even a seeded zoysia lawn still has many of the advantages of zoysia in terms of weed resistance and low water use. BTW, I do not recommend zoysia north of the Mason-Dixon line, because it will be brown too much of the year.

I planted this grass seed three weeks ago and nothing has come up. I know it a slow grow grass seed but something should show up by now. wasted $65 on this seed. I followed the direction but no grow.

Yeah, I have to say glad this is not available, but need to leave review if someone is searching. No matter where you buy these from, it's the same result. I killed, tilled, raked, waited several times to make sure yard was ready. Spread these the first time too thick - oops, then bought more (spreader setting was way too big and seed per sq ft is way too low). Anyway, watered to keep moist, saw some growth after 2 weeks, then weeds came (or weeds from bag?). There was fine growth, then thick bladed growth. Anyway, kept watering for 6 weeks, and finally cut back. Hand mowed to keep short too. All to no avail. Too much money and time spent, yard is gonna be what yard is now....and never again with these.

I spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY on this grass seed alone, not to mention all the crap, literally, I bought to condition the area where I wanted my lawn to be!!! Grass should be there, but is it?! NNNOOOOO!! JUST WEEDS, WEEDS, WEEDS, WEEDS!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, NOW they have the AUDACITY to increase the cost to this mess?!?
