PedalDabs Platforms for Clipless 2014 Shimano SPD-SL Pedals

I like the ingenuity in finding a quick fix for making your spd-sl pedals into platforms quickly. They mount completely opposite to what I was thinking though... they slide in with the pedal flipped upside down and then secure the tongue into what would be the rear cleat clip if flipped over. So your platform is really just the under side of your pedal with the plastic pedal part in the center to rear of your foot. If your pedals are sloppy clipped these inserts will slip around...and if they're pro tightness clipped then these inserts will pop out with any lateral movement. Still a good design, but so is just buying a wrench and putting regular pedals on...takes up the same space.

I wasn't a fan of these. I won't profess to be the strongest person in the world, but I am definitely far from the weakest. It took way too much torque to get these in place, even with my pedals on the loosest possible setting. And once it, it was damn near impossible to get them out. I hope others had a better experience than me. It was a waste of money for me.

Would be a great 5/5 but I don't want to have to adjust my tension on my pedals everytime I want to use them. Currently 1 step below impossible to snap into place.

Delivered on time, it takes a while to clip them in but they work.

Durable and for locked-right, but for SPD-SL at least, they are not self-righting, making for many an awkward start after stopping at a traffic light on a slope.

Not bad though I'd have expected the surface to be larger.

Fits perfectly on my Shimano pedals.

Excellent! Worked as described. Took a couple of tries to get good at putting them on but once I figured it out, very easy.
