Embedded Systems Fundamentals with Arm Cortex M Based Microcontrollers: A Practical Approach

An outstanding title in the area of Embedded Systems Design & Development
This is a very nice book on ARM Cortex M based Microcontrollers with numerous practical examples. The Author has designed a Course-ware on ARM Microcontrollers under ARM University Program and the readers of the book are lucky enough to have that flavor in the process of learning Embedded Systems. The book also introduced Development Tools for code development with easy to understand code examples for students. I surely recommend the book for professionals in teaching, research & industry in the area of Embedded Systems Design and Development.

Great book
Before reading this book I wanted to get into embedded systems but I didn't know where to begin. With this book you can start programming 32 bit ARM based MCUs right away as it guides you through all the basic concepts and information necessary for any beginner.I just wish the book had a chapter dedicated to clock configuration as I had to read from other sources how to setup the clocks. Still a great book though.

Poor content of DMA
I have not read the book in depth, but I expected more about the DMA, I have been somewhat disappointed. It is one of the few books that I have seen announcing the treatment of DMA in ARM, but the content on this subject is quite poor. The print quality of the book is not very good, especially considering how expensive it is, it seems as if it had been printed at home with an inkjet printer, instead of being made by professional printing. In any case I put three stars, because globally the content seems good, but if I could I would not buy it again, nor recommend it, it is too expensive for it to offer.
