Buyer Beware of Return Policy
If I had to base this review soley on product delivery it would have received high stars BUT the seller's return policy is very unfriendly. I gave this review 2 stars because it wasn't a product issue but an issue with their return process. Unfortunately I had to return the entire pasta collection kit ($381 and change) because the kitchen Aid standing mixer did not live up to its hype. The items were never even opened and so I contacted the seller. They were very quick and curteous to respond and sent a "return label". This I learned is not a return label for pick shipping but just an address of where to return the item too. I had to take the large box to a seperate private business that provides this type of service, pay $15 to have it returned with a UPS tracking number. I notified the company and gave them the tracking number. They responded by stating they don't have the tracking number so I sent it a second time. The item was delivered in one day, the 17th a Thursday. I never received any notice that the item had arrived so I checked the UPS sight 7 days from day of delivery and it showed the Thursday delivery with a signature. Still not contact from seller. I called them personally and after they looked into it they found that they had it.They charged me a 10% restocking fee for unopened items and didn't even consider the $15 shipping costs to me. I was willing to be flexible about the shipping costs because there was nothing wrong with the items but when I asked them to reconsider the $38.81 deduction from my refund they were clear in saying NO. I went back to Amazon to review the item order and no where on there was information on their return policy or a restocking fee.So, if you find something you like from this seller and you are certain you will not need to return it...I say go for it. But if you need to have the option for a supportive return DON'T.UPDATE: In all fairness and in response to the comment on my review I would like to add that the attachments I purchased from the seller were not tested but the mixer and another attachment (not from the seller) both were. Because the mixer did not work as well as I had expected (unable to grate carrots for carrot cake and mixer not catching the outer parameter of the bowl during mixing and dough making) I decided to return the product and its attachments. I did however make it clear that the products the seller provided were not the issue but the return policy. Something made very clear in my title "Buyer Beware of Return Policy". The entire experience is important to the buyer and this does include the return policy. Sorry to upset you but I spoke the truth.

The ravioli attachment isn’t great.
The set as a whole is a great addition to our kitchen. The big feature we were excited about was the ravioli attachment. Honestly the ravioli attachment clenched the purchase for us and is actually the biggest dissatisfier. It simply makes a mess, is hard to feed, and turns out inconsistent ravioli. It would be easier, faster, and a better end result to lay the pasta sheet on the counter to stuff. Lay a sheet of pasta over the piles of stuffing and then cut by hand. Alternately put pasta over old fashioned ice cube tray, stuff the dimples and top with another sheet of pasta dough.Would buy the similar pasta maker kit but without the ravioli maker and save some money.Made of the high quality materials we have come to expect from KitchenAid.

Great for making pasta!
After about a month of using these every weekend to make fresh pasta for the week, my wife and I have decided we're never going back to store-bought pasta. All of the rollers and cutters work very well. The instruction manual mentions that occasionally for some of the cutters you have to manually detach two noodles that stick together a bit. We've only had to do this once, and it wasn't a big deal. The instructions make it clear you DO NOT IMMERSE THESE IN WATER. We read the manual, and haven't had any problems cleaning them. They come with little brushes so you can brush off any excess flour that's left on them after use.One thing to note about these is the weight. They're heavier than you'd expect for their size, probably because they're actually made of metal (as opposed to most kitchen gadgets these days which are filled with plastic). The ravioli maker does have some plastic parts, but it seems sturdy. The ravioli-maker is *super* handy. It can take a bit of elbow grease to turn the knob (it's the only one of the five that isn't powered by the KitchenAid itself), but once you get it going it's fine. They end up coming out sealed and essentially perforated along the sides, so you can just carefully tear them apart.Overall, it's a great set that we'll be using every week until we're dead. There are *tons* of videos online that will show you how to use the attachments, since KitchenAid is such a ubiquitous brand. Spend an hour checking out the videos to get an idea of what's involved and you'll be all set.

get 3 piece set and extruder - 6 piece set overkill, ravioli maker not that great
I have had the kitchen aid pasta attachment set for almost 2 years. It is fast and efficient - I can start cooking and serve homemade pasta within 40 minutes. I do not use the ravioli attachment - it is more time consuming and requires more precision in rolling noodles the right size maximize pasta and minimize mess - I may consider trying the ravioli attachment again in the future - but would recommend the 3-piece past set over the 5 or 6 piece set. There is not much difference between the two thinner noodle attachments or the two wider noodle attachments - so the 3 piece set is probably sufficient. I also have the pasta-extruder which is my preferred tool for spaghetti (further making the 5-6 piece pasta set overkill). The pasta extruder is great because you can do other things while the pasta is churning (2 hands NOT required). I find the extruder slower overall (but usually make 2 sets of noodles at a time). A pasta drying rack definitely helps. I use slightly different pasta recipes for the press and extruder. Unless your dead set on a ravioli maker, you can do just about everything with the 3 piece set and extruder (and save money). I honestly think hand punching ravioli would be faster & easier than using the attachment.

Super easy to use, and a lot of fun.
After a year of having this set in the box it came in, I finally got brave enough to make homemade pasta. I was super intimidated at first, but this set makes it super easy. I did watch a couple of youtube videos to make sure I knew what I was doing, but in only a couple of hours we had a delicious homemade spaghetti dinner and the pasta was so delicious, much better than the store bought stuff. It was much easier than I expected and actually a lot of fun. The roller is also great for fondant if you have a lot you need to roll out to a specific thickness.

I love this set
I love this set, but one attachment doesn't cut . I didn't use all of them when I got them. I used one by one and now I realized that one doesn't cut. Now I don't know what to do((((

These are all great except for the Ravioli maker
These are all great except for the Ravioli maker. It does not work at all, it just makes a mess and ruins the pasta and Filling.Just skip the Ravioli maker the rest are great!
