This is not a silicone product it is a polyurethane rubber material. It is a 40 shore A cured hardness. Hope this helps.

What should I use for pigmenting the rubber?

I use SO-Strong black liquid colorant by Smooth On. Just a drop or two goes a long way. Works great.
