Q: will this charge a 36 volt 13 ah (468 wh) battery?

Have it hooked up to a 36 volt 12 AH Lead acid battery pack of 3 12volt batteries. Monitored voltage very close while charging the first time. Charger got warm but not hot and finished off @ close to 38 volts and tapered off to slightly warm over a 12 hour charge time. Easy to connect to whatever output plug you may need. So far it suits my needs just fine for the price. May not be the best solution for lead acid over the long haul though.

Should work if the connector matches.

Q: Is it defective if it gets hot in the first 30 minutes of it being used?

Mine always has gotten hot but on the other aspect of things I’m not happy with the product I ordered a certain bike they gave me another bike my battery doesn’t stay charged very long and I can’t get a hold of anybody now because of it
