Q: Do you know what the height is from the floor to the top of the third step, I have 9 foot ceilings and I am wondering if it will Work?

I just went and measured the one in our gym. I stood on the top step and measured from my head to the bottom of the stairmaster and it measured 8 to 8 1/2 feet and I am 5'5". We also measured from the console of the machine to the bottom and that measured 7 feet.

Q: Can you tell me about the warranty details/options I have? I'd like a 3 year warranty covering everything, including standard wear and tear and of course parts breaking before their time. Can I purchase such a thing? And if so, how would getting someone to come out to fix it work? This is a lot of money and I know…

This piece is remanufactured meaning it is the Process of returning an used product to a like new condition by stripping and painting the frame to the original factory finish, replacing all wear components with new parts, and calibrating for optimum performance. The unit will perform and look like new and comes with a full warranty. This piece comes with 1 Year Parts & On-Site Labor Warranty but you can purchase more warranty. If you'd like an additional six months to the already offered warranty it will be an additional $249 and if you'd like an additional year to the already offered warranty, it will be an additional $349.

Q: What is the difference between the used or refurbished unit?

While no two vendors are the same Gym Store provides fully remanufactured equipment only. Most dealers will tape off parts of the machine and spray paint to make them look better along with some internal mechanical cleaning and servicing (refurbished). At Gym Store we break down the machine to the frame, sandblast all metal components, powder coat (not paint) those pieces, and reassembled with new or rebuilt parts. The final product will look and function like new.

Q: Has anyone had and problems with the machine? How about service if it breaks down?

I haven't had any problems with the one I purchased. It appears to be in great shape and we are using it in a commercial facility so it gets a lot of use. The seller I purchased from offered a 12 month warranty so I can take advantage of that if necessary. I called them before buying to ask about the warranty and they were very easy to reach and had very friendly staff. Just make sure that the one you choose to purchase has contact information and give them a call if you'd like.
