The bracket (piece that attaches to the bike) keeps coming loose despite tightening every 100 yards and the bracket included it isn’t long enough to stay securely on the frame.We barely got to the end of out street when it pulled completely off the bike. This started happening just after the return window expired (approximately ride four). Now we have to purchase an additional part ($37 + s/h) to see if it will stay tight on the bike frame albeit in a different position. Additionally, the bike installation guide would have been handy to have prior to purchase b/c it tells you which clamp (might) fit based on bike model. It would allow you to get a better idea if the leash will work on your frame and if you must buy a different bracket before purchase. This would have been nice for evaluation reasons. We did not have the option of purchasing a different bracket through Amazon or reviewing the bike installation chart (currently available on the sellers website) prior to purchase from Amazon as these were not available options.Bottom line, conceptually it’s a great idea but if it doesn’t stay tight and won’t stay tight it becomes a safety issue.

Took me a couple of tries before I got is hooked up the way I wanted, but WOW. I have a Boxer, for those of you who do not know much about them, they are HYPER. I can not walk far enough or run fast enough, or play long enough to tire her out, but hook her up to my bicycle and for the first 3/4 mile she pulls me at a pretty good pace (and I weigh 230 lbs). She really takes the wife for a fast ride (100 lbs). This thing is awesome for stability. Though my dog is not huge, she is immensely strong and loves to chase rabbits. I have seen in the park more than one person get pulled off of their bike when there dog is attached to the upper frame (such as at seat level). One girl got hurt pretty bad. But as long as you have some weight on the rear tire (such as you sitting on the bike) it is very difficult for any except the largest of dogs to pull you off your bike. I love this thing alot and will get another if it ever wears out.

My son's dog has so much energy that she needs to burn off and my son is not able to run/walk enough to satisfy her. That's where this leash came in. We put this leash on our tadpole trike, and our dog is able to run and pull us to her heart's content. Mounting is pretty straight-forward, but does require some attention to detail. After our initial ride we noticed the mounts were a bit loose. This was due to the bike's tapered chainstays and how we mounted it, not a fault of the product. We had initially mounted this to a wider spot on the tubing, and during the run it slipped back to a more narrow section and loosened. After that we made sure to mount it as far back on the chainstay as possible and it has held firm on every ride since. As others have said, the rider must be very aware of how your dog is doing as you can quickly go from being pulled to pulling your dog. Especially when the dog suddenly wants to stop for a potty break, or your bike starts coasting downhill. This is not difficult to monitor, but does require more attention than walking or running with your dog. Seller was outstanding with some issues we had with the product and immediately rectified the situation in a way that exceeded our expectations.

Hard to say who loves this leash the most - our dog or my husband! The leash keeps the pooch safely out of the wheels and is sturdy enough to keep him from veering off in the wrong direction. The leash is very easy to attach to the bike and to the dog. We bought a harness so that the leash doesn't pull on the dog's neck. When you don't need the leash it clips on behind the bike seat in 2 seconds.

This bike tow leash is really great. My dog and I were using it the very next day. He loves it...its the perfect device for a dog who loves to run and great exercise for me at the age of 70! It did not take my dog (Siberian Husky) to acclamate to this. We started out at a half mile initially and are now up to 2 miles twice daily.The only negative thing I will say is that I think for what it is it's a little bit pricey, but the benefits are great.

This thing is amazing. Took only a couple days for my dog to get used to the Bike Tow Leash and now she loves it. Prefers off leash obviously but this allows us to go riding where that isn't possible. We've been on roads, fire roads and single track. I like that I can feel what she is doing and it provides her enough feedback that she stays in just the right place when we ride. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to get their dog more exercise. One thing though, you do have to pay attention. If your dog stops suddenly to pee, shake water off, chase another dog or whatever, you have to stay aware so that you can stop with the dog rather than jerking her around. If you pay attention and attentive to your dog, however, this is great.

This was a higher priced bike leash, but so worth the cost. My dog is 70lbs and has DNA herder within. On one of our first outings with the new leash she bolted out from the side of the bike at a passing car. It was easy to maintain control keeping both of us safe. My dog and I are having a lot of fun with her running along side the bike. Such great exercise. High recommend here. So well made, easy install. Happy with this purchase.

My dog took to it immediately and it keeps her a safe distance away from the bike and is easy to control. As an added bonus I received a collapsible dog bowl for watering your pet. Also a great product, and after using the tow leash your pet will be ready to drink. Very happy with my purchase>
