I felt it was “within expectation” of what i expected. It was a mild tuna smell. Nothing acrid or off-putting. I would purchase it again. Had a good flavor.

It is ready to eat if you’re very hungry. Sometimes the contents of the package has the consistency of mush, and not very appetizing.

Do the vacuum packs of wild tuna need to be refrigerated ?

The packaging states that you need to refrigerate after opening. This is the best packaged tuna I've ever had by the way. You will never eat Starkist again.
