As a black girl who doesn’t quite like the really slicked back look, this brush is soft enough to keep my curls where I want them, without flattening them fully. Beware, bristles will come out when you take it out of the package, so I’d recommend rubbing out the loose ones before using the brush. If you’re looking for a stiff brush, this isn’t it, but this is ideal for soft pullbacks or brushing children’s hair.

Did just what I needed it to do! Using it for slicked back pony tails along with some gel.

This is the perfect brush to get that slicked back/smooth look (ie: smooth pulled back with a pony tail/bun). I wish i bought this sooner - regular brushes just do not smooth out the top of my head like this does. Makes it look sooo polished and perfect.

The media could not be loaded. This slick back brush is not my favorite mostly because the bristles are so soft you can’t really get a perfect slick back but it’s really more of a preference. I like my bristles to be harder so it is easier to slick back my hair and look good. it could work easier with thinner hair, but my hair is really thick.

As you brush your hair, the bristles pull your hair which hurts. I will give to daughter for her dolls hair…😡
