My son has been dying to build his own engine. He loves this and built it immediatly. Kept him busy for a day or two but he usually builds things fast, love this.

Great learning tool
My 8 year old grandson could wait to put it together. He put it together in 2 days. He's very advanced for his age. He learned all about how an engine works.

As usual Mould King has a pretty decent product. Bricks are good quality and snap together easily. There are no molding issues or missing pieces. The instructions are ok. There is one spot on page 32 where you need to build 2 of the same piece and it's not indicated anywhere. The build comes in 6 number bags. However, the numbered bags are useless because you have to open them all up from the get go. I really like the included power functions. My issue with them though is the battery box is not built into the build. It's just kind of hangs out and looks tacky. Despite the small issues I have it is a fun build and I would recommend it.

Lego technic style fun
The lil engine was fun for my Lego familiar nephew to build. There were a couple parts of the instructions that were hard to follow. He was able to look up videos online that assisted. Once completed, the thing is super cool and fun to watch running.

Disappointed
My husband loved the gift but then when he started putting it together a piece was missing and the whole thing was ruined after hours of doing it. Very disappointing!!

More like a Lego model than anything resembling the real thing.
Don't get this model if you want to use it to learn how a V8 engine works. The parts look more like budget basic Lego bricks than representations of the actual parts. You can see how the pistons go up and down at different times, but that's about. There's nothing in the way of valves, timing, etc.Add to that there was a missing piece that brought construction to a halt and I'm disappointed.
