Smart watch
I bought this watch as I wanted a smart watch by don’t like the other fully digital smart watches. This has all the same features as an Apple Watch or other equivalent smart watch. The battery life is amazing I can easily get two weeks on a single charge with all the sleep/training/temp sensors active. The Withings app is fantastic, it can show me all the useful metrics I need and it also allows to setup the watch time/alarm and adjust the hands if they become misaligned. One notable feature I like on the watch is the alarm, there is no audible sound only the vibration when the alarm goes off.Overall very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a watch with smart watch features with the look and feel of a mechanical one.

Unfortunately the only player in it's category.
The Scanwatch Nova is supposedly the Withings flagship. This is top-of-the-line for Withings watches. My entire experience has been massively underwhelming.WithingsI am by no means a Withings newbie. This is my fourth Withings hybrid smart watch, and I do wonder why I continue on.This is now my second Scanwatch Nova, as the first I purchased would not charge, which I found out immediately after removing it from the box. I initially set out to resolve the issue with Withings directly, as hilariously, this was a replacement for my faulty Withings Horizon (a watch I actually really liked, but has inherent design issues with a sticky crown wheel that Withings cannot fix/resolve). Dealing with Withings support is poor, the support team follow a script and nothing more. It took me over a week to get the inevitable response of 'it's probably faulty, please return it to Amazon' which only came after a snotty email to their support team, but I digress.Scanwatch NovaSo you've paid a hefty chunk of money for the top of the line hybrid smart watch. You'll not be getting the expected quality. The metal band strap is weirdly light in its construction, but is ultimately serviceable/replaceable. The edges of the links are quite sharp, and lack any real refinement. If you inspect the strap in any detail, you'll quickly find metal burrs, which is quite disappointing. The sporty blue strap is perfectly fine, and does its intended job. It isn't my personal strap of choice, but again, is easily replaced. The watch face looks great, a nice clear crystal. The bezel, not so good. The white arrow which marks the top of the bezel is badly filled, with pitting marks and discolouration, brand new and out of the box. The previous model (Horizon) had a more matte effect bezel, but with the Nova's shiny finish, it's a magnet for fingerprints.Setting up the watch is very simple, especially if you are already indentured into the Withings ecosystem. One of the first tasks the set-up gives you is to align the hands to the 12 o'clock position, which you'll probably find fun as the hands don't seem to want to align here. I've also noticed the minute hand never aligns with the minute markers on the face of the watch once set up is complete, which is terrible.General watch function in my experience is good. I can't call to the accuracy of the data, as other reviewers have, however for a watch purporting to be a medical device, this accuracy will need to be within strict tolerances. What I love, and ultimately what keeps me coming back to Withings, is the battery life, and the fact no other hybrid smart watch looks like a traditional watch and lasts for the best part of a month.Ultimately, my key takeaways are - generally poor experience for what is ultimately a mildly adequate hybrid smartwatch that operates seemingly alone in its niche, and a real shame it has no apparent direct competition. But the battery life is good, so they've got that going for them, which is nice.

Hand alignment issues
Let me first say, this watch is an amazing looking watch. I really love the aesthetic and design. I had the watch about 2 days when I started noticing the hands were out of alignment. As the app has a set the time function, this is what I did. However a few hours later the same thing, hands not aligning to the minute dots on the dial. I tried resetting the watch, unpairing, re-installing the software, updating everything, but to no avail. Which is really upsetting, as I stated previously, this watch is beautiful. I had a previous scan watch a few years ago, and never had any issues, but I don’t think I’ll get another until this issue is resolved with this model. 5* for the look and design, 1* for the operation…. Such a shame

Condensation
looks fabulous, works great for a while. I have had 2 which have both ended up with condensation after less than 2 years which is unacceptable. Customer services polite but a waste of space. Won't be getting another one

Withings don't do repairs and have awful customer service
In the *very* short time it was working I liked it, although some of the readings were off, as other reviewers have stated. But I am hear to tell you that you risk never getting the watch repaired if its damaged. It proved to be rather too easy to break and Withings promptly went into defensive mode stating: "We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer spare parts for the button of the watch, particularly the spring (coil) and intact crown. Additionally, we advise against seeking repairs at any external repair centers". After 2 weeks I am left with a £500 unusable watch.- They took 11 days to get back to me and only responded after I had to send a follow-up emails- They explicitly stated they can’t fix their own watches.- They seemed more interested in establishing that this incident is a “out of warranty” than providing any real meaningful help (when the initial request didn't even make a warranty claim).- They thought offering a 25% discount on a new £500 watch (to replace another one that didn’t last 60 days) was a generous offer

Battery life:- Great to start with, but after 3 years 1 week
It is a nice looking watch and I was really impressed that the battery life was excellent at one month between charges, this was one of my main deciding factors in buying the watch.3 years on the battery life gradually deteriorated to one week between charges. Not easy to contact Customer Care at Withings to explain what has happened, so on the verge of ditching it for my old conventional watch.
