This blanket is a TRUE king size, meaning both me and my hubby can share ONE blanket and it still fits over the sides of the mattress a couple inches! It's so soft and snuggly warm, but it also does NOT shed. It will be too warm for summer though, and it's even frequently too warm for my hubby during winter but we live in Vegas currently and he always runs warm. I love this blanket so much I've bought different colors and sizes for my mom, sister, and a friend. It's so affordable and truly a great blanket it makes a great, easy gift. I have more in my cart for my daughters right now. This is the best child weather blanket. I'm from MN originally, so believe me when I say I'm a blanket connoisseur and this blanket is one of the best I've found for price, size, softness, warmth, color options!

My 6'4" son has taken over most of my oversized blankets & I realized I really don't need another expensive 5x6 foot blanket just for me. This throw is perfect for one person...thin, but still warm enough to take off the chill of our SoCal "winter" weather. So far there isn't any shedding, but we'll see after I wash it. If these are still available come Fall, I would definitely buy a few in different colors.Side note: It came packaged in a teeny tiny rolled up plastic bag that made me wonder if they sent me a towel instead of a blanket. Nope! Once opened, it poofed up all nice and fluffy.
