I have an outlet on a kitchen counter that is horizontal, not vertical, and I wanted to turn the power off to my toaster and kettle without having to unplug. I looked at other plugs but because my outlet is horizontal none of them would work. This plug has a swivel so I could make it vertical and plug both items in from the side, taking up less room, and just press the button to power off.Very happy with my purchase.

Just needed a relatively small surge protector in the family room behind the sofa. I use it primarily for a wireless router and optical network terminator (ONT). I like that the power strip is off the floor (for cleaning).The rotation option is nice in that you can angle the strip to suit your needs. Accommodates 6 120V AC connections - more than enough for my use. I'd buy it again.

I bought 2 of these and they've made a noticeable difference in how easy it is to manage my electric/electronic devices. My outlets were put in upside-down, and rotating outlet extenders such as these correct for that as well as providing more overall flexibility in how I can configure what I plug into them compared to standard, fixed-orientation extenders. I also wanted to be able to cut the power with an on-off/"kill" switch so I wouldn't have to constantly plug and unplug devices such as night lights and high-EMF equipment. And I wanted to be able to charge various rechargeables (lights, phone, speaker, etc) without charging blocks as well as to plug in wired devices at the same outlets.These Trond outlet extenders accomplish all of that for me, on top of which they function as surge protectors. They're well designed and well built, a quality product from a trustworthy brand. They're more compact than similar devices I already owned from another company that lack a kill switch. Due to their smaller size, these stay put in my old outlets surprisingly securely even when they're positioned horizontally, and the illuminated on-off button makes a satisfying click so you know when you've hit it even if it's in a location that's hard to see. Lots of pros and no cons: I'm really glad I bought these.

These are just what I needed. I have wood walls with channels that delivery electricity to outlets. The house was built long before all the electronic gadgets that are part of today's lifestyle, so there were insufficient outlets. My outlets were all super tight and hard to get plugs in and out. I literally have to wiggle the plug back and forth quite hard to get plugs in and was always left with not quite fully inserted plugs, which could be a hazard. My outlets run parallel to the floor to, so most of the big outlet extenders don't fit because the floor or electrical channel is in the way. These are great! It's big enough to grab and insert with my whole hand and easily adaptable to turn whichever direction you'd like. It wasn't hard to insert in my outlets like regular plugs are. The plugs insert easily into this. The added benefit is the surge protection. I can now plug in my coffee pot, food processor, and blender in one outlet and still have room to plug in a vacuum, night light, or charger if needed. Out in the living room I can plug in my Roomba, electronic mop, and now I have extra outlets for the regular vacuum and nightlight too. What a lifesaver! I'm going to get more of them for the office area. I really like how compact they are rather than having a big surge strip flopping all over. They are neat and orderly.
