I purchased this item to hook my car, alarm, mailbox and house keys to my purse strap ring. I went through two other snap ring holders before I found one that was big enough to easily hook onto the purse strap ring; would swivel at the base; was hefty enough to be held in my hand and not be dropped accidentally; had enough room when the latch was depressed to allow ease in hooking to the purse strap ring without my thumb being in the way or blocking the opening; is long enough overall to let the split key ring and keys hang inside my zipper closed purse.Note: the snap hook is quite heavy and big.The snap hook portion is 2" longThe snap hook portion is 1.3" wideThe snap hook portion is 1/2" wide at the baseThe rounded swivel key holder is 1-3/8" longThe rounded swivel key holder is 1-1/8" wideThe rounded swivel key holder is 3/8" thickIf you are looking for a 'delicate' snap hook, do not get this size. I bought these to modify my giant breed dogs tie outs as they had the traditional dog leash clasp on the tie out which tends to freeze closed or open in the winter because of all the drool so I needed a caribiner style hook that swiveled that I could use instead. I used steel links to connect this one to the loop in the cable of the tie out and let me tell you, it makes life so much easier. Good if you have painful or stiff hands as you don't have to apply much pressure with your thumb to open it, yet the latch stays firmly closed. It used to take me 30 seconds to attach both tie outs to my dog's collars. It now takes me 8 seconds using these swivel eye snap hooks. Highly recommend. And they have held up well with all the slimy dog drool. Thinking of ordering more for other uses around the house.

I carry work keys on a chain that anchors to my duty belt & during the day the chain kinks up and it’s a pain. This swivels very smoothly and keeps the anchor end of the chain loose so the chain doesn’t kink up. I am very pleased & actually bought 2, as I gave the first one to a colleague as the one he had just bought was tight and didn’t swivel as it was supposed to.

Using 33 ft. of 1/8 inch stainless steel cable connected to my 75 ft. wash line and this Scuba Choice stainless steel swivel eye snap hook, I built a run line for my dog. The cable attaches to my wash line with a strong carabiner and this snap hook attaches to her collar. It works great.

Using these for an odd purpose, keeping the squirrels from unscrewing the feeder so it falls to the ground. But I know this will outsmart those clever little... (you fill in the blank). Now when they try, the swivel turns and the feeder does not unscrew. I guess my my feeder wont get broken anymore and they squirrels will have to be happy with the food in the tray.Love that they are Stainless Steel and have good strength.

I use this as a keychain clamp. I attach my key reyring to the eye, then I attach this to my fron belt loop (above my front pocket). It saves me from having extra junk in my pocket and it works perfectly. I know most people will use this for its intended use, but I just figured I would share mine. Solid product, no complaints.

I purchased this item in Dec. 2018 to hang a single individual hammock. I researched to find a hook with swivel that had a high lb load. It worked until now, but as you can see the arm is dislodged. Fortunately, the hammock did not fall. With a 400lb load, I expected more. I contacted the company about replacing it, but they do not give warranties on these hooks. Buyer beware.
