I almost gave it a 5 star.
This keyboard looks and feels amazing! I did experience a concerning issue with the keyboard, however. On the second day of usage, the "d" key began to misfire. It would not register when pressed from an angle during gaming (the keyboard is in fact marketed as a gaming apparatus). I noticed this during an FPS game. The lighting option when registered key light up helped me determine the switch itself was malfunctioning. Upon taking out the switch, I noticed that one of the copper pins was bent. I replaced the switch with its neighbor just to check it was faulty and voila! The switch worked. Under any other circumstances, I would have returned the keyboard immediately, but I wanted to give the Etrobot a second chance (it's that nice!).

Amazing Value in a Mechanical Keyboard
I just received the keyboard and am absolutely astounded at the initial quality. On sale for $39.50, I really thought I was taking a chance as it is half the price of comparable keyboards. I was replacing a Thermaltake keyboard with brown switches that cost more than twice as much and the ET Robot keyboard is at least as solid in build quality. It's made primarily of a single piece of aluminum in a "U" shape that sandwiches a plastic core that mounts the key switches. It is quite attractive, though the font on the keys is a bit space-age for my taste, but I know that's just a personal preference.I was surprised that the package included a key/switch puller and two spare switches should a key fail in the future. Anything mechanical can fail and having a single key go bad pretty much ruins a keyboard. The ability to repair worn-out switch in the future adds quite a bit of value to the package in my opinion. It's a thoughtful, extra little bonus you just never see in products these days. (And probably a smart way to cut down on support costs as well.)I'm still getting used to the keyboard itself. It feels a bit more compact than my previous keyboard. I found myself pushing the keyboard a bit farther to the right. I compared it to my old keyboard and sure enough, while they are essentially the same size, the ET Robotics keyboard has a larger border from the edge of the keyboard to the keys themselves. So the actual keys are a bit closer together (about a half or three quarters of an inch over the entire width of the keyboard.)Those key caps though. It's like they reach out and grab your fingers and hold on! They have a super-grippy top to them that is a bit odd at first, but does grow on you as you get comfortable with it. I like it, and I think over time I'll come to really prefer it.Finally, the manual could use a little time with a native English editor. It took me some time to simply figure out how NOT to have a light show going and just have a solid backlight (FN+INS) and control the brightness (FN+Up/Down). If you are into such things I think you'll find plenty to play with, I'm just old and want backlit keys to help me see them better! If, like me, you are actually hesitating because the price seems too low to be true I'd highly recommend taking the plunge. It is absolutely a quality product that is at least on par and in some ways better than the $100 or $150 keyboards you have seen.

Great value
Great value for a mechanical keyboard. Very satisfying click click for people like me who like to feel the keys.I regret there is no key for putting the computer in sleep mode like on my other mechanical keyboard (Razor Black Widow). I also miss a USB port, available on my other KB. Compared to the Razor, I even prefer the key touch on this one. I also like the fact that the keyboard is easy to clean as you can move a brush between the keys.

NO -- STEADY LIGHT -- INSTRUCTIONS
After using this keyboard for a day -- it suddenly went into a mode where the key lights started the special effects method of flashing and moving lights. The instruction booklet lists this as being controlled by the "scroll lock key" abbreviated as SL. I was about ready to return the keyboard as “all I bought this for” was to see the keys in a dim darkened room. Scroll Lock (SL) is an ancient function of keyboards --- no longer used much -- where there is no mouse and you use it and the arrow keys in conjunction -- to move the cursor. This company uses the SL key to change the keyboard lighting special effects. Their stupid flaw is in their instruction booklet. The flaw is that -- they forgot to list -- that one of their SL key functions -- that you cycle through -- is to have "STEADY LIGHTS" -- and it took me a whole day to understand their error. Now if you have this problem you know how to fix it (by scrolling through special effects key lights until you find -- STEADY LIGHTS. Now, I can give the keyboard = +5 stars. However -- I can give their instructions = -5 stars. I might review THE KEYBOARD again after a few months or few years -- for a durability test.

Keys Stop Working
After about nine months the spacebar, c, d, e, 3, and f3 keys have stopped registering periodically (half of the time there is no response). The lights on these keys also intermittently flash off, and given that the keys are in a straight vertical line, I think it's safe to say that the issue has to do with a faulty wire in the circuit board. Tried replacing two of the keys with the provided two replacement switches, no dice. For games, not being able to use the d key is unacceptable, and, for typing, not being able to use the e key is crazy. For both uses, the spacebar is incredibly necessary. Altogether unacceptable. I quite enjoyed the keyboard until the wiring screwed up though it is loud, so if you want a mechanical keyboard that lasts around 9 months for this price, maybe two stars instead of one is fair. I'm looking into the three-year warranty solution and hoping that if I can get a replacement the next one will last for a reasonable amount of time, unlike this one. I'm stuck using the visual keyboard in windows for the time being and it's infuriating.
