The best thing is it has a long neck , which holds the gates very well and prevents them from opening with wind, if you are struggling like me with keeping heavy electric gates closed in heavy wind, then this will be your new friend . Hi. I bought two of these bolts for double gates.These are pleasing to the eye, but I wouldn’t say they’re heavy duty.For just a few pennies more. Maybe add some proper security screws.Wouldn’t that make life so much easier ?

I got it for the gates. So far the latch look and works great. It is very strong and has several positions for screws to hold it in place. Easy and straightforward installation. Really worth the purchase.

I needed a long gate latch in stainless. This one is heavy and solid. Wish it came with screws.

Really appreciated the long throw of this latch. Worked perfectly for my application where the two doors were farther apart than normal.This is not a cattle or horse rated latch as the metal guides are a bit thin; however, it works well for keeping wind from blowing doors open and keeping people out.Would buy again.
