Trabasack Curve - Wheelchair Tray and Bag - Inclusive Portable Universal Laptray

Non spill tray
Tray looks good however it should stipulate that wheelchair user needs to use footplate so that it sits level. My mum is nearly 85 an above knee right leg amputee and doesn’t use her footplate in her flat so that she can use her one foot to help move around . Therefore The Trabasac lay on a slant. The clips that come with it are far too difficult to use for my mums frail hands. I bought this to give her more independence in carrying her meal plate or cups back to sink. But did not feel 100% confident as it was not level on mums knee . Hoping once new powerchair arrives with kick plate that it will sit better . But this is not until April and after mums recent fall sweeping up dropped food from a plate I had high hopes for this tray. Velcro strap to hold onto wheelchair would be easier but 🤞🙏 hoping new chair will level out tray position so that mum uses it with confidence.

Very useful
ProsIt looks smart and is well made.I like the way it sits nicely on the lap and with the security of it not falling off because of a strap that goes around the back of the user, it has an easy release clip.It is easy to wipe clean.Nice and light weight. The zip compartment is really handy for a mobile phone and wallet. Also useful at cafe's or resturants when you can't get the wheelchair under a table, you can just use the lap tray.I like the fact it is non slip.It fits well even when we put the arm rest on the wheelchair, it doesn't get in the way at all.ConsThe stitching on the edge of the lap tray collects crumbs very easy and it can be hard to get them out of the stitches.I think more Polystyrene beads should have been added, having more would have given that extra lift to the tray. The plastic clips around the edge are clumsy and it would look better without them on show. Our little dog loves to sit or stand on it when we are out for a long walk.

Don't hesitate - get one!
I wavered for a long time in view of the price but I needn't have. This is a top quality product and I use it more or less continually on my wheelchair. Previously, I used the standard wood/plastic lap tray but I was forever catching the corners and spilling things. The shape of the Trabasack has been well thought out and designed. You will be pleased you bought one.

Excellent
Excellent bit of kit, well made and useful. Seriously, we could not have done without it. It hung on the back of the wheelchair out of the way, and was a bag or an instant table if we were out. Once husbeast was recovered and back on his feet, we passed it on to a friend with MS - he’s now able to eat facing forwards instead of having to crane sideways to a cafe table for his porridge/tea. Really brilliant design, sturdy, well thought out.

perfect strong material huge bag space a musthave for any wheelchair user the fact it goes around the waist makes it pain free to carry and ideal for all outings

A worthile purchase just a bit expensive
I bought one of these a few years ago. This is a new one as I lost the last one. It seems to have a thinner more easily bent top. Everything else is as before and if a thicker bit of wood was used inside it would be too heavy

Essential bag for wheelchair users
Excellent bag and tray which I always use when in my wheelchair. I had the Trabasack Mini, but needed more room, so brought the bigger one.
