Update on previous review
Previously my Bosch GSH 11vc had failed after 90 hours use and was quoted £350.00 to repair. Eventually, after much discussion, Bosch agreed to replace the broken con rod inside the machine at a reduced rate and I agreed to this. Although it is ten years since the repair, the machine has done very little work, but has failed again due to the disintegration of the motor bearing, which has damaged the armature splines, cost of replacement parts approximately £230.00. I estimate the machine has done about 200 hrs work from new, and have attached photo of the wear on the brushes, which I guarantee are the originals, together with the damaged bearing and armature. I again contacted Bosch, but they still consider this to be damage to be reasonable, due to the age of the machine. The components that have failed are both in a sealed unit and I unaware of any aOperator error that could cause such a failure after such a short working life
