Good Food for the Labradors. High Protein means feed a bit less and keep the boys lean.

As you may know, Frenchies have allergies to anything, their stomachs are more delicate than newborns. So, we have tried three brands without any healthy success (soft stools, vomiting, nonstop scratching, pellets too big or hard to Frenchies or plain didn't eat it...). This food has been perfect, she even looks trim and fit, as the other food just made her look more like boxy-looking (I know, Frenchies' bodies are a mix-and-match-looks). We started with the rice and salmon, she liked it, but they ran out of it and tried the salmon sweet potatoes, and that one hit the spot. Now she can devour her plate (Not even slowfeeder seems to slow her down). We pair this with Native Pet Omega 3 Fish Oil, to improve her digestion, hair, and nutrients (Remember, Frenchies are prompt for anything). So far, we have seen an improvement in her coat and energy, and she seems to be fuller with this food. The downside... when she passes gas... oh my.... too much salmon!!! at least, is not as frequent as with Purina One, so, I think this is a win.

We've been feeding this food to our dog for most of his life. He's now eleven years old and still going strong. Since he's such a travel enthusiast, we always take him on road trips to either swim in a lake, go on hiking trails or play in the snow.We're always amazed at how he can still hike all day and then still want to go for a swim in the lake that evening.I recently took him in to the vet for a dental cleaning. They ran his blood work and the vet told me that he had the blood work results of a one year old dog.The only complaint my wife has is that the food has a slight odor of salmon which is obvious since that's the first ingredient. So I keep the food inside the original bag that is inserted into a large plastic container with a snap top lid.The slight smell of salmon is well worth having him be so healthy with a beautiful shiny coat.I also brush his teeth a few times a week and use a tongue cleaning brush just to make sure his breath is fresh.
