I wouldn’t call them heavy. I think they have a good arch support. I have a high arch & I walk all day without any feet fatigue.

I would say slightly cushiony, not as cushioned as an athletic sneaker.

Are these shoes made from genuine leather or synthetic leather?

Sneakers are indeed (gratefully) leather...Leather allows the foot to BREATH. Thank you Keds for creating quality LEATHER sneakers...now for sizing. Ordered 8..have a narrow foot. Always rely on Keds since they fit. These are exceptionally NARROW...foot box is small so order 1/2 size up. Otherwise a good shoe.
