Quality mug
I will concede that it's not spill proof but it's a mug not a flask. Just don't tip it over as you'd do with any other mug when full of hot drinks. I've not experienced anything like the parts separating from each other as one other review had suggested. No odd metallic smells, cleans easily and keeps drinks hot

So far so good
Only been using the cup for a day but first impressions are good. Feels like a quality product, looks like a quality product and it's just big enough to hold a full cup of coffee with the water dispensed from my one cup water dispenser with dispensing volume set to max. The outside of the cup keeps cool despite the contents being boiling hot. The "soft touch" is actually that, it feels soft and has enough grip to not be concerned about it slipping out of my hand. My only minor complaint is that the seal on the lid is a bit, well, seems like a last minute idea not executed well. Although I haven't had any spills when drinking from the lid spout. Although there is a sticker on the cup stating "This product is not leak proof" and stating to always keep it in an upright position when it's full.Happy with my purchase.

Overall very cool and useful, but some things you should know...
I want to say firstly, as a helpful tip for anyone that gets one of these - there is a little handle to turn on the lid. When you turn it, it covers/uncovers the drinking holes, to keep warm for longer when not drinking, and turned to open for when you want to drink. You can see how the neat little lid mechanism works from the bottom when the lid is off and you turn it. I believe this is what the people who complain about the heat preserving capabilities are not knowing. Wish I figured this out sooner since it's not obvious. And yes, you're supposed to drink from it with the lid on. I wasn't sure when I ordered, suits me fine, but I thought you could pull the lid off to drink like a regular mug. Bad idea, since the bit of force you need to pull the vacuumed lid off will likely make you spill your drink.Anyways, I ordered two of these because they seemed like very cool little things (well, they're quite large mugs actually), and they were very cool and did what you'd want, and the price is very reasonable. However, I had some issues.I've only used one so far and it could be that it was faulty, but after being left to soak in the sink a few times, it started leaking from the bottom. But I realised that the leaking wasn't tea or coffee, and that the inside is totally leakproof. What it was, was under the rubbery bottom surface which I had to deface, there is for some reason, a screw and a screwhole. The screw was not screwed in and A LOT of soapy water had gotten in the screwhole. So, the screw was not screwed in and I'm guessing it was always that way, since I doubt water would make it unscrew - if anything I'd imagine it'd rust it up and make it more stuck. And there is no way to get to it without defacing the bottom of the mug. So I HOPE it was just a specific with that one mug, and my other one is not like that. I have been refunded for the mug with the issue and it still seems to be usable despite the bottom's rubber being shredded off to get at the issue. I screwed the screw in tight myself also. But from now on, to be safe, I think I'll probably be just rinsing out the mugs and wiping them, rather than letting them soak.As for how the mug works though - really well. Tea and coffee stays hot/warm for a long time, albeit not as long as a Thermos canteen, and is great for someone that takes their time like me. The lid fits on and off easily. I'm not super keen on the brushed metal inside, goes through me when the spoon scrapes against it while stirring. A smooth metal inside would be better if there isn't a practical reason for it being like that. But that's just a minor gripe. Thumbs up overall!

Great for it's intended purpose
I love this mug, it's great for its intended purpose, which is to keep your drink hotter for longer. I'm not sure why people are moaning about it not being leak proof, it's not intended to be. If you're going to throw it in a bag/backpack with a drink inside it, then of course its going to leak - it's NOT a travel mug. On the other hand, if you're going to fill it with hot coffee or tea, and place it on your desk/workbench/coffee table/camping table etc, and expect it to keep your drink hotter for longer, it's brilliant. It'll stay hotter for even longer if you 'prime' it by filling it first with boiled water to get the stainless steel hot, then empty the water out and run your freshly brewed coffee into the mug. Also, don't chuck it into a washing up bowl full of soapy water and leave it soaking, as the spongy base will take in water. Just a quick dip and a swish around inside the mug will do. As long as its used for its intended purpose and cleaned how the instructions tell you, it's awesome!

Nice looking cup but has limitations
I bought this cup mainly because of the name, a trusted brand. The cup is a good quality but the lid lets it down, it leaked. The movement of my handbag made it leak, luckily I noticed, wrapped the cup in paper towel and put it in a zip lock bag. I think because of the constant leakage it isn’t vacuum sealed so my tea was only lukewarm after 2 hours. The design of the lid was also cumbersome to drink which made it awkward. It is fine to drink from without the lid and is comfortable to hold just not great for what I bought it for. I am now looking for a new cup.

Complete garbage
Is this cup a joke at the price? I may as well have got it half the price from China. It's got a sticker on the underside base, you try taking the sticker off and it takes the whole felt base off. It's garbage and not worth the £8.49. Don't waste your money on the thing, I'm scared of even washing it if I ever use it.
