Q: Can this be mounted if I have metal studs, not wood?

It was easy to mount. You wold just need the respective mounting hardware. (self tapping screws, support, etc)

Q: How do I hide the power cords so it looks like the picture?

There is a track inside the arms with a top-mounted sliding plastic cover. It's tedious to remove and I recommend getting the cables inside of it before mounting the monitors.

Yes, I have 2 42 inch monitors side by side.

Q: How far does each arm reach minimum and max horizontally? I see distance min max from wall, want to know min max horizontal range.

The section of the arm closest to the wall is 8" and the distal portion is 10" (to the center of the monitor mounting end) for a total theoretical extension width of 18" per arm. When folded inward, the outer mounting end crosses over the center of the the wall mount by about an inch. However, this is not all usable space once you attach the monitors because the presence of the monitors limits where you can actually move the arms.
