I bought to use in conjunction with the iPad cover which allows a normal iPad to work with this stand. It looks great, just like a mini iMac and fits in really well in my kitchen. The magnet is strong enough to hold but also easy enough to remove when you want to hold the iPad.

Five stars for build quality but it’s really not clear in the description that you have to put the magnetic ring on every iPad, including those with magnets built in like the Pro. That then makes other peripherals such as the Magic Keyboard not fit as well. Simply not worth £120 with that compromise. Returned.

I love it, so sleek and simple. I use it for my iPad Pro on my desk or at the kitchen table or even on my side tea table.Useful and easy to deal with.

This stand has a high price tag because it's a luxury item. Most people will be perfectly happy with an ordinary stand an iPad simply rests on. If you want the floating, magnetic look, however, you'll have to fork out a hefty amount, especially if you want the compatible cases that go with it. I got the case as well, as I didn't want to risk the supplied stick-on ring.When you have both the stand and the magnetic case, the combination is great. The magnets are so strong there's no way the iPad will accidentally fall off. It also means the stand will remain usable if you purchase a new iPad with different dimensions. As long as Elago keeps making magnetic cases, you're golden.If I had my way the stand would be a little bit taller, but that's my only (minor) complaint. It looks and feels great, and is a perfect match for an iMac or an Apple Studio Display.
